Proof that Dell has Asik and Ajinca dumps lined up.
Things look good in these Pelican colored glasses.

when a pick goes out to dump one/both of them, the "demps" will be complete

Dell has to have SOME kind of plan to avoid the tax and add talent one would fricking imagine.
Stretching Asik is the "break glass in emergency" option. And maybe that is the plan because signing Swaggy P for $5.2 would have put them about $800k away from the tax line. Either that or they're ok being a tax team this year. Financially I'm sure it's fine to be into the tax lightly, but you don't want to start the repeater clock now.

Well of course. You can't truly "Demps" unless you give up a first for a player, over pay to keep said player, then give up a first to get rid of the player.

According to Crewz on Twitter...Dell pulled offer on Young and Gentry didn't agree with it...interesting

Incorrect-- Dell pulled the offer
In reference to Nick Young. I think this might mean that Darius Miller is our wing shooter Free Agent addition.

Interesting. I wonder why he pulled it?

According to MM he had other things he liked better. There was a mystery team rumored as another S&T option for CJ Miles. I bet Indy would do a S&T for cash, although they might not find Ajinca useful with Al Jefferson as their backup center.

It must be something good then because Swaggy seemed like a perfect addition at $5M.

Demps' plans in one hand. shite in the other...

I really think it's Lin and Miles at this point if you're reading the tea leaves
Miles may accept less or with the news of Jrue's contract numbers that had an impact on Young's contract and thus how Dell wants to handle the offseason cap wise. Maybe he still thinks he can move Asik

The only way to make these moves and stay out of the tax is to move or stretch Asik. Best case scenario would be
Asik/QPon/1st for Lin
Ajinca/Cash for CJ Miles S&T for around $5 millon
Resign Cunningham $3-$4 million
Asik/QPon/1st for Lin

I'd be happy with that, especially if you get a solid rotation guy out of Miller.

Jake Madison just tweeted that he has spoken to some people within the organization and they don't see themselves above 7th in west currentky
Posted on 7/7/17 at 4:10 pm to TigerinATL
Coupled with resigning Jrue, that would make an excellent offseason.
Posted on 7/7/17 at 4:14 pm to TigerinATL
Those things happening would make me cry tears of joy.

I saw that, I get what he's saying, but if that was the teams thought process, why give all that money to Jrue?
