I'm not against bringing Darren Collison back to the team that originally drafted him (NOP)

Bring back Thornton too. I'm ready to be a Thornicantard (or something).

An affordable backup which could help keep you out of the tax as a 3rd big making $6 million or less long term. I understand why people don't want to give him up, but you give up any of our backups for someone that becomes your 3rd best starter.

At the moment, he's showed in limited time he has the talent to be a solid player. Say he becomes a 8/5 type backup who defends well this year in 20 minutes, his value is a lot higher than us flipping him right now.

You get a questionable player like Bledsoe with Diallo right now. Or hope to develop him and turn him into a solid starter like Crowder later.

The issue we have is not accumulating assets for big moves. We throw away A LOT of our young potential assets to get middling players instead of trying to develop them into something and going for a swing.

I doubt Phoenix wants Diallo with their young bigs. You'd probably need to get a 3rd team involved so the better question is what's more valuable to the Pels, Diallo or a top 3 protected 2020 1st? I think Diallo probably has more value because he's cheap depth that will be ready to contribute soon.

Yeah. I really want Bledsoe but at the same time I like Diallo.

Diallo's value is higher right now . The probability of him being able to attract a solid starter in a few years is less than 10%. He's still an unknown with potential right now. In three years he won't be.

I like the kid, and want to keep him, but I'd give him up in a heartbeat for a sure fire starter like bledsoe.

NOT sure of his reliability, but there was this:

Is it? I know we all like him, but what value does he have throughout the NBA?

I would think a few other teams had 1st round grades on him. Remember we got Cousins not for the #6 pick in 2016 but for Buddy. Chicago was really into Kris Dunn. Some team would give you a late 1st for Diallo.
