I assume there's at least 1 1st going to Phoenix from the Pels to turn Dudley and Bledsoe into Anderson. Possibly 2. I'm not sure how much value Moore/Ajinca/Crawford to NY instead of Ryno brings. Maybe NY and/or Houston send some picks to Phoenix and we can get away with just a 1st and Moore for Bledsoe and Dudley. That would be a coup.

And just to clarify for those who aren't following closely, us getting Bledsoe hasn't been rumored at all by the people mentioning us and Phoenix as the 4th team. It's just something one of the guys at BSS came up with.

So we would have Jrue, Bledsoe and Frank Jackson as the only guards on our team?

I think Crawford is a good bit better than his trade value would indicate. I wouldn't let him go until he can put together a couple of months and prove his shooting last year wasn't a fluke.

That's also if I were inclined to let him go. I like Grits on the team

I would definitely trade Cook before Crawford in that scenario.

Crawford was a landfill pickup and his vet minimum is much more than jacksons rookie deal...i keep jackson over Crawford 10/10

But after you stretch Asik you're about $8.2 million away from the Tax and you no longer need Cunningham because of Dudley. So use exceptions to add depth. I'm not sure if you'd have enough for Ian Clark but hopefully you could at least get an Afflalo and he can double as a SF backup because you're pretty thin there without many options.

Bledsoe/Cook/Barbosa
Holiday/Afflalo/Jackson
Hill/Darius Miller
AD/Dudley/Diallo
Cousins/Withey

Jackson can be traded one month from now.
If a trade is coming Frank wont be included.
Dont expect big Melo trade to wait because of second rounder...

Ahh, I gotcha. I suppose I just don't know about Cook yet. I haven't seen enough of him against NBA talent. I think he does have a nice ceiling though. Hopefully he can convert that to productivity in the league.

Ideally, we wouldn't have to give up any of the three. Moore seems like a given in any move that we make. I don't even need Bledsoe. If we could just get a serviceable player for Moore, while shedding the contracts of Asik, Ajinca and QPon; I would be through the roof

No shite?

I would take Crawford over Cook. Jackson is not being even discussed in trade scenarios.

ETA: Crawford's deal is 400k more than Cook's. And he is more than 400k better than Cook. Neither have a long term place on this team IMO.

There are a couple of scenarios I thought about last night because this whole thing wasn't making sense. What does New Orleans bring to the table that no one else can?

I think the answer to that question is Solomon Hill. And taking on Ryno. Hear me out.

The Knicks get Solo, a younger guy that has shown flashes at times on offense but a very good defender to go with Hardaway and Porzingis. They take on Asik who they stretch and expirings (QPon, Toupane, etc) so that they can resign Derrick Rose or another PG.

The Rockets can get their man Melo. And send Ariza to New Orleans since we have a void at SF now.

Now here is the tricky part. We want Bledsoe right? Well so does New York. And no one wants Ryno.

I think we take back Ryno and because of that, we are rewarded with Bledsoe. Why? Because at that point we are doing the Rockets a huge favor and they send young players are picks to Phoenix for us. And the Suns the absurd return (I'm thinking 2 Rockets first rounders) they have been wanting for Bledsoe.

Then after all said and done, maybe we can flip Ryno for Reggie Jackson because Stan Van Gundy has loved Ryno since his Orlando days.

At the end of the day, we send out Asik, Solo, and others for Ariza, Bledsoe, and Ryno

Dude it's not that crazy. In a trade like this, it's hard to make everyone happy but this is a way to do that. Think about it from the standpoint of what each team wants.

Houston wants Melo and needs someone to take Ryno

New Orleans wants to get rid of Asik and get Bledsoe

The Knicks want to rebuild around Porzingis and Hardaway but also want flexibility.

The Suns want a treasure trove for Bledsoe. And want to dump some of their larger contracts.

We can't take on $20M from Ryno, $14.5M from Bledsoe and $7.5M from Ariza with only giving Qpon, Solo, and Asik. That's not to mention Houston needs to keep Ariza and Dell is not trading Solo.
