I still think Bledsoe is the target for the pels
he makes the most sense
if they somehow shed dead salary, get under the tax preserving roster options, and get a bonafide NBA guard, I'll happliy apologize to demps for saying mean things to him. There is a bunch of moving parts though and they are 100% dependent on other teams to make it happen

Bledsoe has been the top target from the beginning. Lin, Jackson, others seem more gettable. This can play out any number of ways

I hope it's Bledsoe as I think he would be great for getting Boogie retained. However I wonder what the price would be. If we could dump Asik and Anjica in the Melo deal with 2nds for Ryno and then flip Ryno for Reggie Jackson, that would be a coup. We would then have room to use the rest of MLE and still have our 2018 1st at the deadline with Moore's contract to upgrade.

I would think the pick and Moore would go out in one of those transactions
if not I don't see how they wind up with a player and without asik

It's because the Pels would be the team taking the most undesirable contract in the deal, Ryan Anderson. I still don't think he fits the role available on the team for the salary he's making, but I suppose $20 million of Ryno fits a lot better than $20 million of Asik/Ajinca and QPon's ghost.

Similar to what NOFOX was thinking

One possible iteration: Asik, Qpon, Ajinca, Moore out. Ryno and Dudley in. Then, flip Ryno for Jackson.
Pels get their guard and shooter. Still have exceptions and future picks

If no picks outgoing
I am all for it
I like Dudley. Gentry knows him well.

I doubt anything happens until after summer league. Am worried we might have to attach a Cook/Diallo in a trade to shed Asik. Both have played solid in summer league.

Do you really think they'd hold up a 4 team trade for Summer League to finish? If Diallo or Cook are in the deal then McMillan is just going to have to win the title without them.

shite some of y'all realllllllly over value summer league.
When the big boys are involved in deals, they don't give a shite about the fricking summer league...

Yeah, I think the only thing holding it up is that 4 team deals are just really difficult to complete. One team getting cold feet can throw everything off. They aren't waiting on summer league as the main
players NYK and HOU have the desire to get this done now.

i'm afraid for the Pels to trade QPon because then we'll find out all the fricked up shite they did to his knee.

I think the Suns say no. The one Kumar came up with was more favorable to the Suns. In that one they dumped Dudley on us, which they already tried to do before the draft, and they only had to take back Ryno and QPon. They sent out about $50 million in salary commitments and got $64 back. In this trade you came up with Phoenix sends out $29 and takes $109 million back.

Who's taking Asik? Or is he not being dumped in that scenario?
Posted on 7/13/17 at 8:27 am to Epic Cajun
PHX wants to dump Dudley (19,5 millions)
Asik is owed 35 millions guaranteed
15 million difference is not so big. with a sweetener. will it be a pick or Moore on a great contract

Nobody. But at that point you have all the motivation you need to stretch him so you can use exceptions to fill out the rest of the roster.

He was talking about the trade Kumar posted on twitter last night. We get Bledsoe and Dudley but are stuck with Asik.
