Completely agree.
Korver could play 15 minutes and take 2 shots and do more for the offense than if Darius played those 15 minutes and went 4-5 from 3.

Sounds like one more guard will be signed and that is likely to be it for the offseason. Unless a trade comes up that they can't refuse. Dell likes the idea of having a few roster spots and a two-way to play with going into camp and the regular season.
Nick Young would be the ideal minimum get, if Dell could pick anyone. I think Jamal Crawford is a possibility too. Basically, someone to compete with Frank for the 4th guard spot. That's the only rotation spot open right now. Good to stay flexible and keep spots open if a guy gets hurt in camp or a team cuts an unexpected player.

Swaggy would be a nice get for the minimum. This team could always use more shooting.

This team needs a wing in the worst way.

Everyone knows that. But you aren't getting one now. The plan is to get the right one in February. For now, they will start Moore at the 3, Miller and Hill off the bench. No minimum guy is coming in and taking minutes from any of those 3. So, bide your time and get a Porter or a Butler or a Barnes or a Middleton in February.

Personally, the trade I like right now for Dell to do would be:
Liggins and Ajinca for Iman Shumpert and a 2nd
I don't care of Shump ever plays. I want that contract for February. Plus I get a 2nd for taking on more money. I'd make the same offer for Zach Randolph. Kings get 4+ more mil in cap space to go overpay another guy.

They’re comfortable with just Jrue and Payton as the primary ball handlers?

I have an article coming out about Clark. I think you guys will be surprised.
Post Boogie Clark was basically Tyler Johnson/Fred VanVleet.
He was MUCH better than most people think/remember.
This offense requires ball movement more than it requires a single ball handler breaking people down and creating for others.

I don't think they see Swaggy as the best fit, as much as they see him as the best possible value for the min. If they had their dream scenario, the last guy would be more combo guard than pure 2. Thats why I think Jamal Crawford is also in play. Nwaba makes some sense, Connaughton, Jason Terry, Ty Lawson, etc

The only player this makes sense is for Porter. If we are going to trade for Butler, Barnes, or Middleton, the time for a trade is now. They all will be FA's at season's end. If we hope to re-sign them, it would make sense to have a training camp and full season with the player, in order to sell them on re-signing with us (like PG and Kawhi).

You need that for superstars. Those guys are not that. Their options won't be unlimited. They won't have several max offers.
And you can't get them now, just because you want to. It requires the other team. And right now, all those other teams are optimistic. They aren't trading them. Come February, several of them will be worse than they thought and will make them available. How it works every year.

Is there any movement in the trade exception realm? I’m assuming Dell wants to use it but hasn’t yet because he hasn’t found anyone that’s available and worth using it on.
Any names you’ve heard? And when is the deadline to use the exception?

Has to be used by September 1st.
Its just so limiting. Why use it to pay a guy 3 mil if there is a guy you like better who you can give the minimum to? Example: They like 15 guys more than Jodie Meeks. Would they want Satoransky? Of course, but if Washington wants to give him away, they can do that anytime. No need to do it now. Only guys teams will give away are guys who can't really play and Dell would value an open roster spot over that.
So, I would bet against that getting used, but we shall see.

Starting Moore is mistake this year.
The 2nd unit needs to be run by Niko/Randle and Moore.
Moore and Niko can finish games though.
Start Miller/Hill depending on matchup.
And don't trade our 1st this year. We need young players on cheap contracts.
