According to Shams Charania of Yahoo Sports, Yogi Ferrell has changed course on his deal with the Dallas Mavericks and will re-enter free agency.

Yogi wants a bigger contract which is something we can't swing. The only teams out there that need a PG are PHX and ORL I think. Don't know if either would make a play for him.

Suns traded Dudley and 2021 protected 2nd rick pick to Nets for Darrell Arthur per Woj
Arthur will be bought out...wouldn't mind him for bench depth if need be. Dudley may get bought out but that's not yet confirmed.

LINK ][Begley] Several opposing executives say the Toronto Raptors remain motivated to shed salary via trade following the Kawhi Leonard deal earlier this week.
What do you all think of a trade like Solo/Ajinca/Diallo for Powell/Miles? I think that might help us on the wing. Diallo gets to continue his development in Toronto. It ties up our cap flexibility next offseason, sure, but I think it would help the team go farther in the playoffs this year.

I'd only help out Toronto if we got Delon Wright. But even so, he's a FA next year, and we already have some decisions to make with Randle, Niko, & Payton. And by taking on any money now past this season hampers what you are doing next offseason.
It would be a very short-sided move. So as much as I love Delon Wright, I'm rejecting any Toronto offer involving Miles, Powell, etc and only trading for him with our trade exception

That could be a report from Sacramento to use in negotiations with Houston if they really are discussing a Ryno trade. Maybe Toronto tops Houston to dump Val or Ibaka.

Kind of interested to see what Sac does with Jakarr Sampson. I like his energy/athleticism running the floor for an end of bench guy who has defensive versatility. Also has a bit of an edge/enforcer mentality.
He can't shoot, but good rebounder and bigger perimeter defender who can switch onto guards. He also has a half decent handle and is still young enough to have a little development upside.

Not interested in trading a 1st for anyone from Toronto, well, anyone that's available.
And just to throw it out there, Danny Green has been a mediocre 3 point shooter the last 3 years. He shot over 41% 4 years in a row, then these last 3 years shot 33%, 38%, 36%, while taking 9 threes a game. How do you forget how to make 3's?
If Cleveland wants to dump long term salaries, i'll give them Diallo/Liggins/Okafor/2nd for Korver. Saves them $2M this year and $7M next year. And we keep Ajinca to use later.

If that were the players involved, the Pels wouldn't give the Cavs a 2nd. The Cavs would give the Pels a 2nd.
Dell could get Korver for Ajinca right now if he wanted him bad enough. I wish he did, but it sounds like they are prioritizing youth, athleticism, etc. I get that, but Korver for 15-20 mins a game on this team would open things up so much

quote:I agree. The only pause is that he would add $7.5 million to the cap next offseason when they may want to maintain some flexibility.

Korver's salary next year isn't fully guaranteed. You could, if you had to, waive and stretch him and he would only count 1.2 mil against your cap next year.

If Korver could be a Pel right now and he isn’t, that’s poor on Dell’s part.
Posted on 7/20/18 at 4:40 pm to Crewz
quote:Did not realize he was only partially guaranteed. Then I cannot understand how Dell does not see a vision for him on this team. He would fit well in this offense for limited minutes.
