This Satoranksy fellar, i see his 6'7" which is a SF size, is listed as a SG, but he plays PG? do i have that right? i know nothing about him, but i did see that while he didn't shoot a whole lot of threes, he sure did make over 40% of the ones he did take.

I really would like to get Carroll and Dinwiddie. Both really good defenders with size that allows us to pretty much switch everything and be alright with it more often than not. If we are going all in with Jrue and AD and cap space for the future, we really have zero use for 1st round picks. The odds of some pick around 22 turning out to be a decent player isn't high. I'd rather a known commodity, not named Asik.

Listening to the latest Zach Lowe podcast, dedicated to the Boogie deal, and within the first 5-10 minutes the Warriors reporter implies this Boogie deal is all actually part of their elaborate scheme to get Anthony Davis next offseason. National guys literally can not talk Pelicans without it turning into a trade Davis conversation.

Lowe even ends up saying, "the Pelicans are doing a very good job of trying to demonize Demarcus Cousins."

Joel was on with Seth Dunlap, Ginsberg gives a little summary

quote:

.@JoelMeyersNBA to @sethdunlap about the Boogie fallout with the Pelicans: "He had offers. There was an offer. They had put something in front of him as recently as the past week. They were getting ready to meet with him today."

quote:

More from Joel: "The Pelicans' most recent offer was more than twice what he signed for with the Warriors."

quote:

Meyers also says that the Pelicans have been talking regularly with Ian Clark. (All they can offer him is 120% of the minimum, but the conversation is at least happening.)

quote:

Joel on the type of player that may still be available for the Pelicans: "There are not many big guards, but there are fast guards who can shoot."

I'd love for us to try and figure out how to get both Sato and Oubre from the Wiz. Moore/Jackson and maybe a second? Perhaps we take back Smith too which saves them a few million this year?

1. Lavine is big
2. He is restricted
3. He wants A LOT of money

So... pipe dream doesn't even begin to describe it. Think more... JJ Barea, Ty Lawson, Yogi Ferrell, etc

Give me Yogi Ferrell.

Yeah based on that list I'd go with Yogi.

I love Barea, personally. I see whoever they bring in as a strict one year rental, so I don't care about age and upside. And thinking about Barea in this system for like 20 mins per game makes me smile

Barnes is owed $25mil.

I would think we need to get a third team involved to make that one happen.

Hill, Matthews, Ajinca, Diallo, 2 1sts to Hawks

Bazemore and Moore to Mavericks

Barea and Barnes to Pelicans

Not even sure if that works

Bleacher Report @BleacherReport

Jimmy Butler reportedly 'fed up' with KAT, has no intention of signing extension, per @Suntimes

All-Star shooting guard Jimmy Butler reportedly has "no intentions" of signing a contract extension with the Minnesota Timberwolves, due to issues with his teammates.

According to Joe Cowley of the Chicago Sun-Times, Butler is "all but fed up with the nonchalant attitude of his younger teammates," specifically center Karl-Anthony Towns.

Seems like what he needs to do is just bide his time and sign with the Pels next year to play with grown folks versions of KAT and Wiggins in AD and Jrue.

So with the Randle and Elf signings, we can only offer Tony Carr a 2 year minimum contract at most. Interested to see what they end up doing with him. The past several years they have used part of the MLE’s on Cheick and Frank.

He likely ends up on a two way contract I would assume right?

Demps said he might not even make the roster this year but could next. It sounds like a 2 way or Euro stash could be in his future.

All depends on how he does in summer league and camp. I think a two way makes sense, but we shall see.
