I just don't see Kawhi going to the Lakers. It would be a weird move for him.
We need to talk about Vucevic's potential contract. 4 years/$90 mil is INSANE. He is the best big on the market. Better than Lopez, better than Horford, better than Gasol. And he just set the # at $23 mil/yr
So for us to get one of the FA bigs, we'd have to overpay which looks to be in the $20-25 mil range. So you're looking at a contract like 3/75 or 4/88 for Lopez or Horford. Which in my mind, are solid contracts

So many different things are coming out about this that it's hard to say what's true, but if Kawhi doesn't want LeBron at the meeting is he really all that interested in playing with him? I know Kawhi's earned a reputation for being different, but I fail to see how this leak is good for the Lakers if it's true.

It would just be...weird. He's already won a title as the only superstar on the team. He's seen it can be done with him and a deep cast. Why would he want to go play with AD, LeBron, and a bunch of minimum guys? Especially now that he doesn't have the Warriors to go through.
This isn't a KD situation where he's trying to get to the top of the mountain. He literally just did. If he wants to be in LA why not go to a better run organization thats also has a ton of cap space and more assets to sustain success. I'm not 100% saying he won't sign there because who knows what Kawhi is thinking. But it would just be odd.
