I’m afraid of the same thing. I’ve been beating the Hill drum thinking he’d be a cheaper alternative to say a Collison. Now, I wouldn’t be surprised if either gets a 3/18 offer or a 3/45. Some of these lesser guys’ values are going to be so hard to determine.

The key will be to identify a middle-tier guy you want and make him an offer immediately, and say take it now before the frenzy begins. If he does, then be patient with everyone else.
If you strike out on that guy or whomever the next guy is, you need to just sit back and wait out the craziness.

The first group of guys are getting paid.
Lot of guys aren’t even going to get scraps considering how many roster spots will be left to fill and how much money to fill them.

Fits in with previous numbers suggesting about 40% of the league will be free agents. That actually ups it to 46.67%.
