Agreed. I honestly think Atlanta needs to unload and it’ll go down to the wire whether they take deal without Herb. I feel Hawks are the more desperate team to make the trade due to lack of trade partners.

Yeah the deal would be done if we were willing to include Herb. Glad we aren’t.

I’d put a trade in involving Herb for bridges, not Murray

I covet Hayley Maxfield but that really hasn't meant squat for me

Stash him and try to build him up. We will need a true PG at some time in the future, not insinuating he is good enough to play this season with how deep our roster is. Maybe point Zion or the development of Dyson makes this a moot point anyways

Dude Killian Hayes is not happening and it shouldn’t. The guy will be out of the league in a year or two. Hes just not good enough offensively.

same here.

It's not even a conversation to trade Herb for Murray.
Herb is the better player, and even if they said Murray and a 1st for Herb, i'd still say no.

Griff likely wants more than just a fake 2nd round pick salary dump for him, and that's what he's getting. If he is even trying to trade him

It’s interesting hawks haven’t made any trades. I feel odd they walk away from deadline without unloading anyone. I personally think Hawks flinch and take deal without Herb. But who knows.

It’s ok if we disagree, I’m not suggesting he get minutes this year.

Also put me firmly in the camp of not even wanting Dejounte Murray. With him being a Klutch client, the chances he poisons the locker room are too high

The Hawks never had a real desire to trade Murray at the deadline. They don't like the fit with him and Young but with his contract there is no rush and can just move him in the off-season when better trades are available. They put his name out there seeing if someone was desperate enough to over pay ex wanting Herb in the package

We say theres no rush but ownership may disagree. They’re paying a bunch of guys to barely be in play-in. Technically they need to unload and waiting doesn’t necessarily mean you get a better offer but again lets see.

I don't think they are desperate at all to move off of him, especially with his deal on the books.

It'll be John Collins all over for them.

Agreed you dont have to trade him now. But the fact they traded nobody on the team is beyond stupid. They could easily try to unload Bojan, Bey, Hunter, Capella or Onyeka.

The Hawks and Raptors are still discussing trades for Dejounte Murray and Bruce Brown, per
@wojespn
.

Both decisions will come at the buzzer in 20 minutes.
