clippers made out like a bandit
I don’t understand this at all for the cavs. If I were a cavs fan I’d rather they played 4 on 5 than play that loser

I read something this morning about Allen possibly being available and maybe Mitchell because he’s up for a new contact next year. I doubt it happens but that would be wild.

With today's Jaren Jackson Jr. trade, every single lottery pick from a very successful 2018 draft has been traded. That includes names like Luka, Trae, SGA, Mikal Bridges, Michael Porter Jr., Ayton and now Jackson Jr.
This pretty much summarizes the decline of the NBA

Luka should never have been traded. Most of the rest of those needed a new start somewhere or were part of a blockbuster trade like SGA.

My buddy is a Cavs fan and he claims the Harden move is the first move before they try to move Mobley to Milwaukee for Giannis.

Pelicans dreams of dumping Zion are all but dead after latest trades

It has almost become a tradition for Pelicans fans: every trade season, Zion Williamson is in trade rumors, only to end up still wearing a Pelicans jersey when the 2 p.m. CST deadline buzzer sounds. This year appears to be no different, as the Chicago Bulls, who were widely viewed as Williamson’s most logical suitor, made a pair of moves that may have quietly closed that door.

I guess my question would be how does Zion and Ja (if he’s traded here) fit with and/or help out with the development of Queen and Fears?
Let’s just assume that they are both healthy which is highly unlikely. Wouldn’t Ja take up a lot Fears minutes and Zion take up Queens?

They don’t. Dumars is doing the stupid two timelines approach instead of growing a pair of balls and picking a lane.

Is it?
I mean you can still develop those guys at this solid pace - exposure to real life minutes along with veterans to take off the majority of the workload.
When they grow into it, you phase out the two and say it's time to move on. Putting them in bad situations now could reach them bad habits (I. E bad passes and bad shots)

So Ja for Murray and Poole is back on?

If we get the version of Morant that plays against us, I would love to acquire him. We’re going down in flames anyways, add some fireworks to the show.

That’s my point! It seems like it would be smarter to embrace the younger timeline and focus on the development of Fears and Queen (which you took an enormous risk for). You should be acting like the Memphis and selling off assets to build around those two.
I’m not interested in seeing Zion and Morant play 15 games together in another losing season.

I would do the deal. Both Poole and Murray and non-contributors at this point. Moving both is a huge gain. Turning them into Morant and probably KCP at least makes noise. Pair Morant and Williamson for 15-20 games at the end of the year is at least entertaining. Plus could boost the stock for both. We could go into the offseason with 2 huge contracts to trade, which could bring back some good value. I'd rather do that than just ride out what we got for the rest of the year.

In a dream world we get Ja and he unlocks Zion and they are the best due in the league....
Reality, do not trade for Ja or any win now trades. Dump salary and bring back expiring or do not make any trades.
