RUN IT BACK WITH ZION BABY! Year 8 is the year he finally puts it together and leads the team like we all know he can!

Can we just keep our picks/treasure? Damn it Joe, you don’t have to trade everything. However, Portis and Rollins are good players that will help us a lot.

Trey Murphy has a ton of value. Look at what Desmond Bane got

Trey has better stats and is 2 years younger

Unfortunately we're that team. If the pelicans could trade that away to keep Trey they would

Cole Anthony, 4 first round picks, KCP, a 1st pick swap in 2029

The 2025 first was the 16th pick.
This 2026 pick is likely to fall in the same place.

Granted the Grizzlies didn't want the young piece in Cole Anthony and bought him out and he signed with the Bucks, where he's not having a good year.
And KCP looks washed up now.

The Grizz have been fortunate with Orlando not being as good as expected last year and this year, but their future is bright and they know thier future 1sts should be in the 20's.

We should be looking at a team like GSW. They own all of their first round picks. They want to win another title before Steph retires. Having their firsts in 2029 and 2031 would be huge, although you can't trade them away like a fricking idiot (like our Bucks picks). I doubt Steph is still playing in 2029, he'd be 41.

If the Warriors gave us Kuminga (who i would want to reroute somewhere else), 2026, 2028 pick swap, 2029, and 2031 for Trey, I'd be all over that.
And i hate the idea of trading our only 3 point shooter, but I'd do it for future Warriors firsts.

Pelicans get Knecht, the expirings of Rui and Kleber, Warriors 2026/2029/2031 and the 2028 pick swap, Lakers 2031 first and 2027/2030 pick swap
Lakers get Missi, Kuminga and Hawkins
Warriors get Trey

Their issue is they need to move Jimmy and his contract to get 50mil of actual usable player. That'll cost a few firsts too.

Butler is just another example of why trading for old guys is so stupid. I bet it ends up biting the Rockets in the arse too.

Teams are so enamored with old "stars." Once the wheels fall off in the NBA, they fall off quick.

Look at the Clippers 2017 All Star team.

My expectations for trade this season are very low. The reality is most of the players on this team are on the best contract they will ever have in the league. No one will will want to take on the high salaries for the level of production of most players. The only players with upside are rookies and maybe herb and missi. We are stuck with some of these guys until their current contracts expire.

Zion is the only player that would make sense to move that may have value.

Herb, Trey, Sadiq are the perfect players to build on great contracts. We will doubtfully get anything back that would make sense.

No way you would want to trade Fears or Queen either.

Good to see Keon Ellis go to Cavs in the East.

IF...we decide to eventually move Herb...this should increase his value to one of the 4 teams or so in the West...that could benefit hugely by picking up Herb.

Not sure why Cleve would trade Garland for James Harden. Sure, James has been good this season, but he's a poor playoff performer and he would take the ball out of the hands of D Mitch.

Can we not pick up the phone and ask if Cleve would be interested in Zion as a spot starter/super 6th man to spell J Allen and Mobley? Seems like Zion would be better value than 36 year old Harden with no picks.

From the Pels perspective, we would have

Garland
Fears
Herb
Trey
DQ

Missi
Jose
Bey
Karlo
Micah
