He apparently doesn’t have the skills they want and think he is a bad fit for them, yet he has skills that are in demand elsewhere.

He has been too much of a negative on the offensive end for them. He makes JV look like the greatest screen setter ever and he cannot shoot FTs or 3s. They like to play five out and he does not fit that.

Young elite defenders have negative value on here.

Can he score 50pts on offense? If not then goodluck making a case.

He also limits the type of defense you can play. He's an elite drop big but he cant play a switch defense. He's not mobile enough.

I still really want him but lets not act like he doesn't have flaws

Yeah, I still would like to acquire him as well. He can give valuable minutes on the defensive end. However, he is not a complete center that warrants sending out a young player and 2 1sts for. I think he is worth a 1st.

Every player has flaws but performing certain skills at an elite level on a rookie contract tends to make you overlook some of those flaws.

Obviously he has flaws but our starting center is Daniel Theis at the moment, who is quite literally mostly flaws

I’n currently not worried about a good player that has some flaws

I don't think anyone has argued they think he would be a perfect fit or anything.

The fans want a 2 way all star that can do everything. But I'm willing to bet those would be the first people on here crying about the cost.

1. Don't want to give up (2) 1st for someone we need
2. Would rather have no solution than value that a need gets fixed.
3. Will complain of we do nothing
4. Would still complain when we overpay for the guy they invision.
5. Its an "all or nothing" viewpoint. But its from a losing mentality instead of a "building our future" viewpoint.

"If we waste 2 picks on Kessler then we are doomed". It would be (2) high 20's picks for a chance to help sustain our roster for 4+ years that already has 5-6 key pieces on it.

Some people can't possibly fathom giving up 2 picks for a guy that isn't perfect. But they cant fathom giving up (5) picks for the perfect guy either lol.

I'd waste a first on him easily. A good team can force teams to defend your style and when they are able to, differentiate a great team by being able to adjust again

Agreed. He is not a complete center, but a good enough one who is young and can give you 22-26 quality minutes a night I think,.

You’d think a front court of Embiid, Siakem, Missi would be quite a lineup…

This better not turn into another John Collins situation.

I posted yesterday, Griff needs to lay down a 4/175 extension on the table for BI, and tell him sign it or you’re playing on an expiring.

That would give him 8% per year raises on top of his current contract, and would keep him in the 25% range of the cap, lower as the cap increases hit, which will make him WAY more enticing to teams in a trade.

Every team in the league would want BI taking up 23-25% of the cap, nobody wants him taking up 30% of it though.

Just as i suspected. Everyone keeps saying "someone will give him the max" but I've been calling bullshite. Call BI's bluff. Offer him 4/160 and not a penny more. If he doesn't like that then trade him for pennies to a bottom feeder and see if he likes that more

Still far too much. I'd give him 4/160 with a team option on the last year. If he doesn't like it, trade him for pennies or move him to the bench for Trey so he can finally learn how you're supposed to play with Zion
