At this point I think Griff is trying to get in on the Lauri deal as a 3rd team to get Kessler but he wants picks if we're sending out just ingram for kessler

I NEVER thought Griff would put Herb in ANY trade. That is the entirety of his defense. Willie would shite the bed. The reason we didn't get Dejounte at the deadline... BC Atlanta said the deal had to include Herb. Outcome? No deal. Soon as they relinquished that demand. Deal done. Herb is a core piece to a championship, arguably the 2nd most valuable player behind Zion.

If we send out BI with only Kessler coming back in, that is a $34m TPE because Kessler fits into the Kira exception.

Philadelphia is scouring the free agent market and potential trade options to land another forward, with Paul Reed expected to be waived or used in a trade, league sources told HoopsHype.

I think thats the backup deal for sure.
But if he pulls off getting Lauri and Kessler without giving up Trey or Herb- Griff has had a hell of an offseason. I’m ok emptying the picks if we’re trying to make a serious run.

I mean yeah but this was always a given. BI and Kessler aren't a 1 for 1. It is more so a "who else" are we taking back or trying to get with the trade exception and "how many" picks.

Would take him as a backup, I wonder what the deal is with him in Philly? It's not like they have a ton of talent on that team right now. I know they added Drummond, but he could play some backup forward for them too.
It’s definitely a red flag to me that they would waive him with how little he costs. Reed did have some attitude flags back in college which caused him to fall in the draft, but I don’t remember ever seeing anything about his behavior since he joined the league. I am going chalk it up to a numbers crunch, but hopefully we would vet that out.
They struggled whenever he had to start instead of Embiid, but his numbers were still really good when he came off the bench. We aren’t going to have many options and we could do much much worse than Reed as a backup 5.

We gotta get more players included to come back with Kessler to fill out the bench. At least another player, preferably 2.

We don’t have the ability to absorb his current contract without sending someone out.
That could be as simple as a sign and trade of Matt Ryan or someone else we still hold rights to.
Could just make him part of an expanded trade, or if we make a trade where we're sending out more than we're taking in, we could take him into our MLE.

Not sure why this is directed at me, but okay

The Murray trade is the only one so far and we sent out less than we are taking in, but that deal is not yet completed.

I don’t mind Reed either. Surprised they waived him. We do need a backup 4.

Put it in the Murray trade. JV and/or Naji are prime candidates to get S&Ted increasing our outgoing money in the Murray trade without having to include guys like Matt Ryan and giving you enough leftover to bring back someone like Kessler too.

Numbers dropped when a backup replaced an MVP in the lineup? This is my shocked face.

Tillman to Boston. The league is scouring the value bin for bigs now.

Its all good Epic, we just making our points based on what we think.... I mean no harm nor disrespect to your iq or acumen regarding what potentially can happen or how to go about assembling the roster construction. We all want the same thing. I may be absolutely wrong in some of my assertions myself.

5 years. Orlando is definitely very patient and loyal to the players they drafted.
