Kobe and LeBron. Both are team killers.

Curry would never be able to get off a shot playing against an 80s defense. Durant is a bitch.

Curry has range out to 30 feet. Nobody would think to guard him, because no one ever took that kind of volume or shot from that distance. He's the greatest shooter of all-time and it's not close. Also, he's bigger than you think. I love the 80's PG era, but he'd have plus size against all of them. When Kidd and D. Williams came in, they were the first "big" PGs. Most of the elite PGs, like Thomas, Payton, KJ, Price, Stockton, Kenny Anderson, Iverson, Marbury, etc.. were mostly around or under 180lbs. I mean Bogues started over 500 games at 5'3. You don't think Curry couldn't get up a shot over him?

Durant is light years a better scorer than Kobe.
People actually think Kobe is better than Durant ? Lol
Kobe is the only obvious answer to this question. Tim Duncan would probably be 2nd

Here is my case why Kareem should be on the list:
1. My dad says he doesn't work hard enough on defense.
2. A lot of times, he doesn't even run down court.
3. He doesn't really try except during the playoffs.

You are f'n high. Duncan had almost the perfect career. You honestly believe that Durant had a better career? Based on what?

Exactly.
Duncan is the most underrated player of all time probably.
Not cool or flashy enough for the shoe nerds.

When you say something like this it just lets people know that you have no idea how the game of basketball is played.

Durant would have like 5 league MVPs if it weren’t for LeBron. He is arguably the most prolific & efficient offensive player in NBA history.
I love Duncan & you have to split hairs, but my preference would be to include Durant over Duncan.

Duncan also was one of the best defensive players of his era.
I don't think it's particularly close between him and Durant.

I see KD is very active from his burner accounts today.

What did Kobe do better than Durant, besides maybe defend?

Kobe is 9 time All-Defensive FIRST team (12 in total) vs 0 for Durant and you are saying maybe...
I guess you have never watched him playing to say such nonsense.
KD is great scorer, Kobe was a winner.

Between 1999 and 2014, the teams that these two guys led took 10 of the 15 titles. (Yes, We can stipulate that the Admiral was really the leader of the first Spurs championship, and Kobe had Shaq for three of his titles.) In terms of accomplishment, KD doesn't come close. If the question is simply about overall basketball skill, then I could accept your answer as reasonable, but greatness has to include leading a team to the top, and KD never did that.

Kobe was a shoe-in for all awards due to his popularity
Durant Def Win Shares: 51.3
Kobe Defensive win shares: 50.7
Durant DPBM: 0.6
Kobe DPBM: -0.1
Kobe is marginally better on defense, if at all. So yea, I will throw in the “maybe”.

Team titles obviously mean a lot in the nba, but post-Jordan and pre-LeBron 2010, the league was ripe for the taking.
The Lakers specifically were ahead of everyone else as far as the super-team era goes. And the Spurs were just a machine. There just was not that figure of resistance like MJ or prime LeBron once he left CLE.
Durant probably wins two in OKC if they are able to retain Harden. One which would have taken the last one away from Duncan. It’s just hard to compare the eras and organizational structure the other two guys had.
