I wouldn’t be melting about this deal if we went more all in and got Trae Young instead. Trae would have been perfect beside Zion, Dejounte is another temporary fix that doesn’t make us any more of a contender.

Jazz’s picks gives you flexibility for the future without sacrificing too much in the present. Obviously JA>Kessler + Strus would really help the bench.

But Kessler is only 22 while JA is 26.

Man, I love Dyson and think he will be one of the most versatile defenders in the NBA for many years. I can see him turning into a non-crazy version of Draymond, which is tough to lose.

That said, adding Murray while keeping BI and Zion is a definite upgrade to the starting unit. If we can turn CJ into a quality center, this team could be dangerous if (that same big if) we stay healthy.

No, he really wouldn't. Have any of you watched him play? Are they going to roll out a second ball for Zion while Trae hunts assists?

I'd jump for either offer, tbh.

ofc Allen is better than Kessler but Kessler has 2 years on his deal at less than 5M per year while Allen is at 20M over the next 2 years and Strus is 15+ for the next 3 years.

Kessler deal gives us a lot more flexibility to blow it up with the picks added as well.

Allen and Strus and only losing BI would make us immediate contenders. Adding Kessler requires him to step up his game though.

We finally have a PG.

A high usage PG. Willie can’t even make the three high usage guys we already have. Ingram or CJ will have to go out

100%

If BI can be kept cheaply, obviously we go there over CJ but on the flip side, idk how good of a center you’re going to get in a CJ trade. It’s almost better value just to keep him and his shooting

You are posting on a message board in the most vague way possible. Take a few seconds and type the damn name out.

this and I’ll take the guy who shoots 3s over the mid range player who’s up for another contract

Just did the math, either this trade has to be completed before the start of the league year

This is the easy answer, trade out 16 mil to take in 18, I guess this is what Shamit was hinting at earlier this week when he said it was easier to trade for Murray before the start of the new league year. I never imagined it mattering because I figured BI would be included in any Murray trade.
