Is it possible to acquire Walker Kessler from the dogshit Jazz? He would be so damn good on this team

The time to acquire Kessler was in the draft two years ago when we were, and still are, desperate for a rim running big, but I digress…

This year JV has hit a new gear and I’m really not worried about him taking the majority of minutes at the 5 in almost every matchup. That’s a huge luxury to have

JV wore down last year after logging heavy minutes in the FIBA championships or whatever.. stands to reason he'll wear down this year as well

Are we really “desperate” for a rim running big??? Sure, we could use one but this team when healthy and focused plays very well without one.

Part of why he wore down last year was higher usage especially offensively when we were missing a lot if our scorers. If we stay healthy, he should be fine.

Several teams dont have rim running bigs. Nuggets, warriors, clippers, thunder, suns, rockets, kings. I don’t know if its that much of a need as we make it out to be.

The basketball gods have taken their pound of flesh for Trey’s return. Sorry, Larry.

You need a good rebounding defensive big that can catch and score from the dunker's spot, they don't have to be a "rim runner". When Larry was at his best last season all he did was play good defense and score by being open in the dunker's spot.

Yup I agree on this. We could use that and maybe if Larry gets fully healthy we wont need one. If he doesn’t I say we go on the trade market and find one.

Trade Kira and EJ for a fake second and then sign Ryan and JRE to nba deals. Sign Jemison and someone else to two-way deals

I mean absolutely no offense when I say this, but JV was never as good last year as he has been this year.

Zeller has played better. He brings a different energy. Trey is also a good 3 inches longer than Nance too so getting him back adds a lot of size and versatility. Let Larry get healthy and bring him back after the first of the year or even the all star break. Just so you have him healthy for the playoffs. A truly healthy nance is an asset but when he tries playing hurt, however admirably, he’s a shell of his normal self so we are better off using Zeller who is also a good bit longer than Larry and a true C. Having Trey’s length with Zion’s strength allows us to use them at the 4 and 5 in small ball lineups where you put shooters around Z.

I think he was this good.... in FIBA

Remember the videos of him collapsing in the tunnel from exhaustion after carrying Lithuania?

Zeller has been good all year. His worst game was against Philly.

Would.be nice of he was even dedent at FTs but otherwise he's fine as a hustle, smart, backup big.

Wish he could teach Jonas how to set a non moving screen
