I mean you can tell from the way he walks and his mannerisms that hes a big goof thats just so happened to be blessed with .0001 percentile athleticism. Ive noticed this disingeninty too but I think it is more that hes a generally an aloof person with a lot of pressure on him to be something he’s not, so he’s just relied on the only thing he's known to be true, his parents. You have to remember he went from playing 5’6 white boys to being a household name compared to Lebron in less than a week.

What I’m hoping is with the dragging he’s received he’s the last couple months which escalated to this week is that at some point he has to be responsible for himself and we come out of this ahead.

It’s about the most optimistic take that you can have but at the end of the day he will probably be on the team for a couple more years so Im going to go with it

Yea, who knows what he really thinks, but this definitely seems like the only way we can possibly not just keep Zion, but have a happy Zion with us going forward.

It happened for Lonzo, there was a moment a couple of years ago where he basically broke away from his Dad controlling everything.

True, but one thing Lonzo had at that point that I don’t think Zion does is a kid. Fatherhood is something that has forced quite a few boys to grow up.

Definitely true

And other than that, Zo kinda seemed like his own dude but trapped behind his Dad, if that makes sense.

Whereas Zion, I just don't see him being his own person or breaking out like that, it would be a surprise.

Malika Andrews is quite a distraction.

The old hags all quit ESPN (Maria Taylor, Erin, Rachel etc etc) thinking they were the big show in town! Gonna show ESPN a thing or two!

Then they hire Malika——

That’s game

Now it’s a big conspiracy to get Zion in a big market. All these guys on TV play the freaken game to keep their high playing jobs.
All this b.s. goes away the first time Zion does a 360 slam at the Garden. All these sellout as..holes… are going to make the situation worst. Sorry folks but New Orleans cannot have nice things.

Zion shows up to games dressed like a lesbian English teacher in anime jackets, at other times like DJ Jimi sans multicolored, striped Girbaud jeans (but with a period appropriate haircut), and has been recorded telling pawg IG thots how beautiful they are.

If some of yall can't immediately spot the extremely sheltered kid that hasn't figured the world out when it's this obvious, I just don't know.

JJ on This Just In earlier today:

Do you think Zion has played his last game in New Orleans?

No I don't. I'm even more optimistic of that. He'll play again for the Pelicans.

If anything, the Pels sort of can play the "aw geez, shucks, those national guys are really piling on you, can't imagine how bad it could get in NY...But listen, we still believe in you, we just need you to put in the effort and prove the haters wrong, lock in, buy in, and perform"...as they high five and chuckle, thanking the national press for being the bad guy when Zion leaves the room.

Bronc, I just want to start by saying that I love that you're a Posi-Pel now.

Yes, David Griffin gets to play good cop, now that Redick did the bad cop work for us (and Chuck and Shaq helped too).

I'm actually a lot more optimistic today than I was when the CJ comment first happened, because everything is out in the open.

My own opinion is that he is what can be called a "discouraged perfectionist." Zion doesn't want to be a good NBA player -- he wants to be Thanos. He wants to be MVP.

When things are going well, he believes in that dream and works really hard at it, which is how he got to be so good at the game of basketball.

When there are setbacks, though, instead of being further motivated to overcome them, he can become discouraged. At that point, he might start to feel that his goals are never going to happen and sick into a real depression. And then? Why try, if you aren't going to succeed at the level you want?

I'm one of these people myself, so I understand how, when things are going well, you can work really hard and stack success on success, but then you can have a few things go wrong and just want to give up on everything.

IDK---outside of Stephen A every big guy has been hammering Zion and saying its bad for his rep and bad for the NBA

If that is the case, which it isn't, why won't he get in shape?

If you can leave the bubble in great shape, come back in two weeks, and look like you ate yourself... you need a full time nutritionist, not your mom

If you are a heavier guy with a proclivity for lower extremity injuries ... you need a full time trainer, not your step-dad

Time and time again, his biggest issues point to his family being so involved, and his inability to do the smart thing and use the professionals at his disposal

I get the aggravation, I really do, but you may just try to keep in mind that he’s not capable of playing at this moment. He will probably need another surgery . Remember the time it took to get embiid on the court with this same injury, it almost seems common to have setbacks and additional surgeries with that injury

That’s no excuse for not texting cj, he may be so immature that he’s unaware that he should do that. He seems aloof and like a guy that wants to please people but doesn’t know how to do that. I’m sure if he knew he should text cj he would.

I’d bet any amount of money I own that as soon as he hears about the jj redick comments, he will immediately reach out to cj.
He’s just lost and doesn’t have the people that he needs advising him, because he’s so lost , he thinks it’s okay to be doing what he’s doing and it’s ok to just let your parents tell you what to do.

Edit- I haven’t been on here much and read this first so I didn’t know he reached out already when I posted this.
