Willie, have you been able to talk to Zion yet?
No, but I did receive a collect call from Jaxson in prison and he told me that he is staying in great shape.
Sigh, maybe the bodycam footage will clear him. Sometimes the cops are in the wrong. Fighting them doesn’t solve the problem though. Jaxson is probably lucky he didn’t get shot and killed.

Potential domestic violence and felony battery of an officer?
Did we already pick up his 3rd year option?

Speaking of Bill, he had a Pod yesterday with our old ESPN reporter, Justin Verrier, and Jesus Christ they went scorched earth on the Pels and Griffin for about 45 minutes straight. I think the only mistake that wasn’t discussed was Christian Wood. They definitely mentioned the 4 for 8,17, and 35 trade lol.

quote:Admittedly I know little about the law and if this story is basically true and he attacked cops, he probably should serve jail time, I couldn't argue against that at all.
This is listing the maximums, not the minimums, but this is pretty serious.
But I also feel like people can get away or do a lot of bad shite and avoid jail time if it's a 1st offense. Again, zero law background and don't know much, but a complete guess would be after conviction he'd avoid jail time and certainly nothing a bit longer term.
Obviously, there could be more to come out about the dispute we don't know that could change circumstances.

BS: I don't think the Pels did as good as we think in the AD trade
Verrier: Yea, I mean they got a great player in Brandon Ingram, an All Star. But then they have to pay him a max

what's cap implications of releasing hayes in this type situation? (that obviously hasn't gone to court or anything yet)

They'll just trade him before he's up for a new contract. He's living on borrowed time now.

Having a felon that beats police officers should be a good enough reason to void someone’s contract for cause

This is why I love my pelicans, and come back for the pain over and over. We get some somewhat promising news, predicated on how we proceed; and in less than 2 days; we get horrible news, gotta love it. There was so many questions surround jax already; it's fitting.
