This is just incorrect. The only reason BI is gone is because he just isn't good enough to be what he thought he was. They gave him every opportunity to be the man here. You are right, he was well liked and the front office loved him. I have talked about it many times, he was treated like the best player here over the last four years. He was announced last in the starting lineup, he was front and center in the mural at the facility, he was in the center in the promotional photos. This was BI's team. The only problem was he wasn't good enough to be the man. Then, he wanted to paid like the man. That is the only reason he isn't here. If he would have been willing to take anything than the max he would be here. He didn't fit with our best player, but that didn't matter to Griff. He was going to resign him. That is one of Griff's biggest failures. He couldn't identify that the pieces just didn't fit.

NBA sucks today. I can't even watch it. I say sell the team and bring in a hockey team even though it won't happen. The NBA is shite now.

I would not put it past Gayle to formally adopt Lauscha and Loomis as her sons and leave the teams to them

Griff totally screwed us by not selling high on either one years ago when it was evident they couldn’t play together. So Griff waited till the very last second, traded one for peanuts and now we are going to do the same without even seeing what a team of Zion and no BI looks like?

Like majority of Griffs moves, woukd be totally short sighted.

This is absolute bullshite. The entire roster was constructed to maximize Zion, and BI was asked to play a slightly different role every year when Zion couldn't or wouldn't show up. Zion is and always has been the problem both on the court and off.

That could work, although inheritance taxes would be massive. If that was her plan, she should have started years ago and gave them shares over time..

What move best maximized Zion? Trading for Steven Adams, Jonas, Devante Graham? What about starting Herb Jones, BI, and Jonas next to him? What about Willie and Griff's comments about BI being the PG and main facilitator going into last season? Yeah man, you hit the nail on the head. This team and front office built everything around Zion.

And none of this matters because now they are going to trade Zion for 50 cents on the dollar and they have hired Joe Dumars to run the team. It's over for all of us.

Hey at least the Moronic Inquisitor can sit in the front row of an empty arena watching (checks notes) Herb Jones play basketball

Our only hope is to wait out certain people and hope the next ownership is smarter. And doesn't immediately move the team.

Yep, I've been saying for a looooong time on this board...there's no reason for us to expect anything different as long as we have the current ownership.

It just wont' change. It's the sole common denominator across all the years.

Just to be honest, the Pels really aren't a hobby

I barely watched at all this year. Barely paid attention.
I watch every game every season except for maybe 2 or 3.

This season by game 10 I was done, and didn't watch another full game all year. I did watch bits and pieces of games here and there but not often, I'd go weeks without watching sometimes.

Same here. Pathetic that they've fricked this franchise harder than that skinny white chick getting blasted by 5 black dudes

Zion was overweight and continually injured . Was it just diet and conditioning or is it his body build not being conducive to the stress of pro ball ( jumping and running ) . He is built more like a football DE . Griffin catering to him and playing piano for him looking longingly into his eyes was probably not the best managerial approach . Should have traded Zion several years ago .

I appreciate shamit giving us juicy details but he fricked up revealing the Zion info. It’s probably still true but fricks up maximizing his trade value. Hence the backpedaling today
