Everyone did against OkC, except Zion of course.

It’s astonishing to me that people would rather lose a 22/5/5 guy that shoots 37% from 3 for nothing.
There’s idiots saying to not let him back on the team as if he’s pulling a Jimmy fricking Butler.
The guy has done nothing but work his arse off for this team since he’s been here.

It’s fine if you want to trade him instead of signing a max. But to just not want him at all is asinine .

Before the injury i was all about keeping ingram. He can show you that he's capable of change, he's just a prisoner of a current market that isn't viable.

The injury he's sustained and all of the other injuries make it seem like he should be jettisoned from a casual fan perspective, but I'd be fine with keeping him and getting rid of Zion. Unfortunately we arent doing that.

I see pels doing 3 things

They prefer to resign ingram for less than the max
They prefer to trade ingram and keep Zion
They'll let ingram walk.

We're gonna frick this up. What sucks the most about the NBA is that it's weeks and weeks of waiting for it to happen.

I just want to see a fricking lineup of Murray/Herb/BI/Trey/Zion.

If that lineup doesn’t work, then by all means trade BI. But if it works well, then that’s what you build around.

Trade BI before deadline or sign and trade in off-season.

I don't want to see him in a Pels uniform again.

He is a good player, but is oft injured and wants too much salary for his value to the team.

As do I.

But I've seen nothing that indicates that this is what BI wants. He was the one who turned down extension offers each of the last 2 offseasons. And it's very possible that both offers were better than any offers he receives this summer.

I think this will end up being true. He should've just taken the Nola deal.

When has he come back out of shape? Are you attributing his injuries to a lack of effort? He should have worked harder and his knee wouldn't have hyper-extended?

Shamit on his podcast was saying he’s heard that as of now there’s a good chance we keep both BI and CJ post deadline. Only deal he sees happening is Javonte Green or Theis. We are so fricked if this happens

They can probably get more for both of them in the offseason, so not that big of a deal. The bigger issue is them actually playing and helping us win games.

Zion/BI/CJ/Murray/Trey, if 3 of them are playing, we're good enough to win games.
It'll be interesting to see how they prevent healthy guys from playing.

If we let BI walk for nothing and keep CJ then I'm out for the foreseeable future.

Forseebale future meaning mediocrity.

how much more and is it even worth losing the value of this years pick over? I’m gonna assume not

Signing him to a max would be a bigger mistake than letting him walk for nothing. You sign him to a max you're effectively nailing the coffin shut.

Lets be very clear here. Neither are ideal, but with the way Griff has botched this whole thing the options you have left (unless he saves it and you actually move him) are all shite options. You're just choosing the less shitty of the two.

He’s not getting a max. He was never getting a max. We aren’t offering him a max, no one else is offering him a max. I hope we can move beyond this when discussing BI.

A lot of posters here project their disappointments in Zion on BI. BI is not without his faults but the level of disrespect for someone who has outperformed Zion in his tenure is crazy work. Griff got BI in bubble wrap.

You have to discuss it because it's the reason why he hasn't signed, and won't sign, an extension with the Pelicans. It's pretty well reported that he thinks he's worthy of the max, and the Pelicans don't. Probably a safe assumption that a trade hasn't been worked out either because he still feels he's more than he's worth. But it's only human nature that there's probably some level of animosity from BI and his "people" and the Pelicans. Hell, if you know the right insiders they've already hinted at that, even prior to this season.
