The event is here to stay. They’ll run it back in same format/fashion as this season.

If we’re the first champs I want banners hung and parades rolled.

It's dark days for Louisiana sports. I'll take an in-season tourney win.

The bigger question is do we hang a banner up for an in season tournament title
great question

Having the opportunity to set the precedent I’m going to say yes

would put up a banner and build a trophy case when we win. Would be the first hardware the Pels have ever won.

Idk man. I’m a big believer in adversity and I think a loss in the final is the exact kind of thing this team would respond extremely well to

I was just thinking, man this team hasn’t really had any adversity. It’s been smooth sailing

Ngl I told myself I wasn’t gonna like it but when we versed the kings I wanted to win way more than I did if it was a regular game so it’s undoubtedly a success in delivering the playoff energy early on in the year .

I wonder if they’ll increase the incentive . I always thought 500 k wouldn’t go far for most considering they make that in a week some players …

Would adding a 15th pick in the lottery and granting that pick to the winning team feasible or is the logistics behind that too complicated

I was very skeptical at first. I’m surprised at how much the players
and fans have taken to it. It shows me that the owners recognize a
moneymaker when they see it.

Fans love it and those quarterfinals games felt like a playoff atmosphere in the beginning of fricking December.

I am not feeling all that good about the game. I mean, the ref gave Lebron a TO when they didn't even have the ball last night. Prepare to feel railroaded by the zebras tomorrow. The NBA wants Lebron in this final. The absolute worse case for the NBA is a Pels/Pacers final.

Agreed. $500k is less than 1 game check for a max player. This is all about desire

NO, this is all about fan viewer ship and more money for the league. It's working even though im in the minority on hating the courts.

Pels should be happy if they win it with a health non sprinting Zion.

I don’t think winning the IST would
lessen the desire to win the NBA title. I think more of our squad than that.

I for one want the Pelicans to lose in the finals. I think a fire lit under us would be a good thing

Not quite losing in the finals, and we definitely have had some hiccups, but I think a fire was lit
