Borrego is in the same tier of coaches as Ham.

If Darvin Ham is our next coach then I’m becoming a Spurs or Nuggets fan. He’s awful. Good luck finding anyone better than Borrego that wants this disaster.

But at least the players have familiarity with him and like him. I would much prefer a real coach like Jenkins.

HIRE LARRY BROWN. He’s only 85 Dumars.

Dumars is speed running this ship into the ground.

It’s honestly impressive.

I would trust Borrego with the rookies development and progression as well. I don't with those other guys in the list.

Groom a winner with no NBA baggage. Guys like Dan Hurley, Todd Golden, Dusty May should be on the Pelicans radar. But, under no circumstance would I like to see an NBA retread hired. There are reasons why retreads are retreads.

Admittedly, I have little faith that our front office will do the necessary leg work to hire outside the NBA fraternity or think outside the box, so I would probably give James Borrego the gig as it's the roster that needs to be reworked more than the coaching staff

"You can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear"

The Pelicans Roster is akin to the proverbial "sow's ear".

That same logic kept Willie with the team for the 2024-25 season and the beginning of the 2025-26 season.

Mark Jackson fits the Gayle model. Irrelevant had been who hasn’t won in more than a decade. The Dumars special

These are the same idiot that think green is like a viable nfl coach now

Need to hire Rajon Rondo.

He would be a great coach

Not a bad thought at all. Certainly, worth an interview. Would be great hire and mentor for Fears. Rondo set the table for Garnett, Allen and Pierce all the way to a Title.

Id do that in a heartbeat. He might suck but it’d be a way more interesting hire than Ham or Ollie.
