If the #8 pick is a shooter and starts contributing early then Kira and Graham are on the hot seat. At that point you give the lotto pick the minutes > them IMO.

Jaxson is safe until we draft competition or trade him for a C.

My 3 would be Sharpe, Ivey, Mathurin. Worst case scenario they are all gone and the next 3 up would be Daniels, Davis, Sochan in no specific order.

Think it might be safe to say that you won’t be upset come draft night

Agbaji is way over appreciated on this board. Especially if you want him at 8

I believe he was not 100% at Duke, just needs to move his feet better. Perimeter defender similar to Dort/Hart.

Agbaji comes in and plugs an immediate need. Wouldn’t be mad at trading back but I don’t think he’ll be there as late ~12 as a lot of folks think.

Sochan and Daniels are kind of in a tier of their own for me. I think Sochan has one of the highest ceilings in this draft, and he has skills that he didn’t get to display at Baylor on a regular basis. He could be Scottie Barnes light with the way he surprised people with just how skilled he was.

After that it’s Davis or Mathurin, I would probably give Davis the edge there because he’s so far ahead of Mathurin defensively.

What we need to take cracks at are future replacements for CJ and JV, but we don't need that this year. Eventually we won't be able to pay everybody we have now so getting new blood win playable players on rookie contracts is what we need. If we strike gold with another Herb or Jose then so be it.

I think Jose is your 6th man, his offense was improving and his defense was good from the go. Like he says he knows his role.

I'd hate to see us trade out or trade for a vet. I don't know the players in this range well enough to pick one, but whoever picked up on Herb and Jose needs to pick!

AJ Griffin has nowhere near the quickness of either Dort or Hart.

That young fella wear his Concrete 1's on defense.

I actually like Sochan too, just don’t think we need another big wing. Team could use a stout perimeter player to help CJ, Kira, and Jose who are on the smaller side.

How do we know this and why did Baylor not take advantage of them? Which skills?

You can gameplan around Hayes struggling, but we need another guard who can hit shots. I just don't see where you find minutes for someone like Sochan. I'd rather Murphy's space, and he defends adequately. Sochan is really a prayer for Herb 2.0, which I find extremely optimistic. Herb is an anomaly.

GRIFFIN reminds me of Wiggins. Great all around bb skills and unselfish. Gives team versatility and best combination of need and athleticism.

DUREN similar to Bam. Pels need to improve teams interior defense. Can't play the combination of JV BI CJ and Z together.

Dyson the forgotten Lonzo Ball brother. Team needs a playmaker.

However I believe Johnny Davis will be Griffin's selection.

Herb is also someone you're going to pay to keep in 3 years. That might mean you can't afford to pay to keep Trey a year later. A backup Trey is more helpful in the present and future than a backup Herb.

I've recently posted my health concerns for our Big 3 (CJ, BI,& Zion) as they each basically only play 61 games out of 82. So my list is focused on an offensive 6th man (who would effectively be a starter for almost 60 games) to replace point poduction when one of the Big 3 are out.

I'm eliminating lotto picks + others almost guaranteed not to be there at 8: Jabari, Chet, Banchero, Ivey, Sharpe

1. Keegan Murray --with Dyson Daniels moving up in some mocks, he has dropped as low as 7...so far. He could competently fill-in points for either Zion, BI or JV. Only player with 60 dunks & 60 three's. I have him over Mathurin mainly bc of Zion's uncertain availability. We might still be playing if Keegan started instead of Jax this year.

2. Ben Mathurin --he could replace points for CJ, BI, or Zion. He fits any starting line-up where one of the Big 3 miss a game.

3. Johnny Davis--He's just a really good scorer with competent defense. He could be a CJ replacement one day.

If I knew everyone would miraculously stay healthy, I'd choose defense:
1. Daniels
2. Sochan
3. Duren
