Durant just posted the same durant line of the last ten years. And Ingram did nothing better than Durant last year
Posted on 6/30/22 at 8:47 pm to GynoSandberg
And Ingram wants to be here, has 100% bought into the org, coach, the staff, and the players, and is half a decade younger
But by all means.. ship him out for the biggest bitch in the NBA

The recency bias of that Celtics series is a factor affecting how some are viewing Durant, who may have been completely out of gas by then. Why? He didn't take a full summer off last year since he was busy carrying the US to an Olympic gold medal.

Okay now post the playoff stats.
Ingram- 27,6,6 on 48%, 40% and 83%, less turnovers and more steals and blocks per game. 2 wins in the first round. Would’ve been 3 or more without bogus Game 6 officiating.
KD- 26, 6, 6 on 38%, 33%, and 89% and zero wins. Also if you watched the games he generally did not give a frick. He was the main reason why Brooklyn got swept.
And honestly the argument isn’t who is better.
KD has 1-2 years left of peak. Ingram has 10.
KD is kind of unlikeable. Ingram is our guy and he has embraced the city and grown here through the good and the bad.
A move for KD cheapens a potential Championship run.
A championship run with Ingram would be much more cathartic and satisfying.

People keep saying it’s practically a championship with Durant.
Did he win one in OKC with Prime Russ and Harden?
What about with the Nets?
No?
So it’s definitely not “practically a championship”. The only time he’s won championships is with practically the greatest teams of this era.

frick no. You want a malcontent little bitch who gets his feelings hurt 5x a day that is also 33 and injury prone and an Achilles injury for our 24 year old ascending all star SF? frick no Ingram is a star and he’s 9 years younger and actually loves playing fur the Pelicans. You think Durant wouldn’t ask for another trade the second he got his feelings hurt with us? He’s done it his entire career. We have a young team on the rise, don’t frick with it.

Three things. I agree with your overall point, but Ingram is 9 years younger than Durant and Durant can’t touch Toni as the biggest bitch in the NBA.

I just don't get the people that think this is a guaranteed Finals appearance. Lets' assume you have to give up Ingram, filler and picks.
- If Zion gets injured, are CJ and KD enough to make the Finals?
- If KD gets injured, are Zion and CJ enough make the Finals?
If you do stumble in that 1st year, does KD ask out in year 2? This would be different if it came out that the Pels were on his first short list, but they weren't. So it feels like if anything goes wrong initially, the Pels will be the one left holding the bag.

This is all much ado about nothing. The Pelicans aren’t involved with Durant or Kyrie. They aren’t trading BI or Zion.
They have to wait for things to shake out to see if they can find a place to dump GT or Graham.

I just hope Kyrie doesn’t go to the Lakers

That BOS series made KD look mortal, to me, for the first time. Even the last loss, where he scored "39 points", the dude missed 18 shots to get it. BOS defense rattled him and he looked old. In one prior loss, KD went 4 of 17.
Right or wrong, it gave me the impression that a real decline is approaching in the near future (1-2 years). Do you upset the chemistry & promising outlook of a team for an aging, just-past-peak, declining, recently injured, cranky diva who couldn't win with Kyrie Irving?

Why get KD? He’ll stay one year and demand a trade. He’s not worth it.

bullshite .. AD is great for finding an injury to sit out but KD could, at any minute, demand a trade because he got in a twitter argument with a local poboy shop owner

If true this would be stoooooopid. The $$$$$ to pay him and 2-3years he won't be happy again and want to pair up with someone else somewhere else. Da hell wit durant!!

Great 4 game sample mate. Durant has played 155 career playoff games. He’s a year removed from going scorched earth on the same Boston team

In your other post, You said that Ingram did nothing better than Durant last year.
So, I posted the playoff stats, because 4 game, 6 game sample size be damned. They still count. When we have conversations about the greats, sometimes single playoff series are brought up and nitpicked. I simply did the same here to illustrate a point.
Also, we have to acknowledge KD played a lot of games with either Irving or Harden and some with both last season. Bi played nearly every game without CJ or Zion.
So yeah, Ingram’s route and path to overall efficiency for a majority of the regular season was much more difficult than KD’s.
But still, I think very few of us, are actually arguing that Ingram is purely better than Durant at this juncture.
The KD vs BI discussion is more about having a longer window with BI, with a more likable guy, that would ultimately be much more satisfying to win with.
