I think eventually teams are going to realize they can't just ignore Zion as a help defender and he's going to get burned as teams adjust, but it's fun for now.

Z might be gone at the trade deadline.

Highly doubt that. It makes no sense from a value perspective. They need to continue to build his value up for the rest of the year.

41 games in a lost season isn’t going to help or hurt his value. Everyone knows what they’re getting with Zion if he plays

It definitely will. 8 games played vs 50 games while finishing the season on a high note is a huge difference. Plus it will showcase his new lighter size while strengthening his stats.

After seeing him in the white jersey, he's not that much smaller than last season.

The extra bulk is just a lot more visible for dark skin dudes in white. I'm a yellow dude, similar to TI's complexion. 5'10 180. I look so much smaller in black than white lol. I be looking bulky as hell in white, and I have some natural bulk (not too much) but in black I look skinny.

Unless he gained weight from the first game to this one, he looked bigger in game 2 imo.

Pause all of this. No Diddy.

Until he gets hurt again, lacks effort in his prep, shows up late, or just demands a trade. To me none of this matters

The fact they suspended Zion shows they don't plan on trading him in the near future. If they where planning on trading him they would have kept the story of him being late for practice and planes under wraps.

I agree with your premise. However, I have little confidence he’s going to remain healthy the remainder of the season. The next injury is always lurking with him, and BI for that matter.

I’m out on Zion but not on Murray. We’ve done this lap how many times with Zion?!?! He plays really well and then gets hurt… takes an extended break then people get mad then he comes back and is awesome. It happens every time! Murray is a defensive PG we can keep to pair with Herb.

You realize you’ll miss him when he’s gone, right.

We miss him when he's here, so what's the difference?

I want everything to work out with Zion but it’s hard to argue with this logic.

Trivia question: Starting at the 2019-2020 season, who’s played more games - Klay Thompson or Zion?

Despite missing 2 straight years and contemplating retirement, Klay Thompson has played more games than Zion. Unreal and pathetic for Zion.

I like Murray, but if we are moving Zion, he’s not in the same timeline.
