Look at that schedule up through game 34.
Lots of those wins were over Phoenix, Dallas, Atlanta, Memphis, Miami, Cleveland, etc., who were amongst the worst teams in the league last season.
Yes there were wins over Portland (2) and Utah in here but also losses to teams like Orlando, Memphis, and Minnesota as well.
It’s like a mid-major in college ball, either football or basketball. Their numbers look good until you look at the resumes of the teams they played.

Pels with the hustle squad in heat of the Feb AD saga were beating and losing to better teams

There is zero logic with this post. The beat LAL because it was an emotional game. Fan were much more into it than usual, Lakers players weren't there mentally because they all thought they might be traded, etc.

That’s the thing. It isn’t a slam dunk that all of those assets are going to be offered. I wouldn’t disregard any deal at this point. If Boston gives you a slam dunk deal, then it’s a no brainer. But with all the uncertainty in Boston, I think it’s reasonable to believe that Boston will be reluctant to give up all of their asset without Davis reassuring them that he’ll re-sign.

There’s still a hierarchy of assets in play and the Lakers only get a shot if one or more teams start balking at the price and/or the Lakers line up side deals to improve their assets.
Not saying the Lakers are completely out of the hunt but their best offer as of now still pales in comparison to what the Celtics could offer and arguably compared to what the Knicks could offer.

Kyrie unlikely to return to Boston per reports. Maybe Boston doesn’t offer the deal we’ve been thinking.
Might just be the Lakers or Nets

The point of trading AD BEFORE the draft is to bank on teams like the Celtics and Knicks using AD to recruit the players they want, be it Kyrie, KD, or someone else.
It increases the value we get for him because a team would be using that to pick up or retain another star instead of just picking up AD.

I got Lakers and Nets as 1 and 2. I think there is a (slight) chance that Ingram can be the best player of all the pieces being offered to the Pels. And I think Griffin might agree

Someone get Crewzy to explain why Brooklyn is so favored.
Their assets are subpar, mainly because their best asset is an RFA unavailable to us.

If I'm being completely honest no package is going to make me melt (TWSS). I can live with any of them.
I'd definitely prefer the Lakers package because at least Ingram DOES have some potential to be a really good player. I don't see any star potential in anyone from the Nets.
But maybe they just want to surround Jrue and Zion with a bunch of solid guys and build a team? I don't know. Traditionally those guys are the easiest to find.

I love how McNamara was trashing Ingram 3 months ago & now he is GDCK

Its definitely a change, that's for sure.
I still have the Lakers 3rd or 4th. Can't decide between them and the Knicks. I may move them ahead of the Knicks just because of Zion, and I don't think picks are as important to us anymore.
I still like the Clippers and Celtics much better. But whatever. I have no control over it. Whatever the deal is, we'll just see what happens.

Same. I think I can find a way to accept any package except the Nets minus Deangelo(and I know Deangelo being included is nearly impossible). I just want to get this over with so we can discuss our new pieces and potential fit next to Zion and Jrue. And also discuss how to fill any holes left over through free agency, future draft picks, etc.
It’s been a long 5-6 months of speculation and I’m close to losing my mind.

the Nets offer is like when your buddy in fantasy football sends you an offer of your Ezekiel Elliot for....Marlon Mack, Will Fuller, Dede Westbrook, Carson Wentz.
Nothing inherently wrong with those players but don't really move the needle much...what's the upside to doing that deal?

If AD was so worried about winning, why wouldn’t he just stick out one more year in NOLA, then become a free agent so whichever team he goes to isn’t depleted?
Is that even an option for him?
