If somebody is throwing somebody a surprise party, do you run and tell them about it? He just didn't wanna ruin it for tomorrow when Griffin comes out and says Zion is back and playing this weekend.

It is an awesome opportunity for both sides. The guy has basically been in Dame’s shadow his entire career. He will get to be a veteran leader of the team that will be consistently recognized each night as a star.

Well hopefully Zion comes back and will be a bigger star than Lillard

I have no doubt that Zion will be bigger than Lillard.

When he said, I've been to the play offs 8 years in a row, it'll be 9 when we make it this year.

One player contributed heavily to his team making the playoffs, the other was anchor knocking against the hull of much bigger ship

CJ is a smart guy and can see that we will be contenders next season. Seriously, we should get more development from Herb, Jose, Jaxson, Trey, and Naji. Oh, and Zion -- he will continue to develop and should be a top-ten player next season. Oh, and the top-10 pick that the Lakers are gifting us.

The opportunity to contend, plus the people and team culture that we have created, will make lots of people want to come here.

Can players still make more endorsement money in bigger markets? Sure. Do some players really enjoy the lifestyle in some destination cities? Sure. We can't fix those things. But everything else is good.

He’s the perfect vet to help out our young players grow as a professional and as a person. He’s a that’s been great teams and can teach them how to win.

I was surprised by how much JAX lit up at his post game interview when they mentioned CJ. He said how CJ was a Ohio guy and how he watched him growing up. Don't take for granted having a player on the team that these young grew up watching and is a pro in the way he carries himself.
