He got tired of everybody calling him fat, so he's been working out like a mad man and he's gonna be unveiled as Duke Zion.
If somebody is throwing somebody a surprise party, do you run and tell them about it? He just didn't wanna ruin it for tomorrow when Griffin comes out and says Zion is back and playing this weekend.
It MIGHT be smart to tank. BUT winning is addictive. When a winning streak happens people can't help but ride the wave and be happy. Especially when you're winning because of people like Ingram, Hart, and Herb continually growing during the season.
I think now that we have cap space these agents or reporters just keep throwing our names in with everybody.
Ok I'm sold! Sam Mitchell for head coach! Green and Lee can be his assistants

Correct me if I'm wrong, but hasn't Lillard gone on record multiple times saying real good things about Lonzo? If he truly thinks highly of Lonzo and we resign him, although young, Zion, Ingram, and Lonzo is a better nucleus than he ever had in Portland. Put some defense and some shooters around them and we'd be looking great.

Guess can add Collin Sexton to the people possibly traded list. The link is saying Cleveland might look to trade him because they don't wanna pay his upcoming extension.
Only thing I'll add to this is that, while I like the system Gentry runs, I've always wanted us to slow it down for the type of players we have. Our team has turnover prone, low iq (basketball wise) players. So it's always seemed counterproductive to put them into a system where a lot of basketball iq and quick decisions are needed.

Important game update!!!

No afro Jrue tonight. Looks like he has his hair braided up again.
If you swap the timing of their exact same surgeries they had to have, and Morant was the one currently not playing while Zion was, this thread would not exist. So no. I'm not jealous.
First off let that man take all the time he needs. If I lost my mom I'd be DESTROYED. And 3 days wouldn't change that. And let's stop acting like we KNOW the whole story based on one Gentry quote. I'm sure Favors is keeping him and Griffin in the loop. Maybe Gentry doesn't feel like it's his place to put Favors mental state out there for the public. The world is bigger than giving us a good basketball product to watch.
I seen he posted a message on his Twitter that says "I love you mom" and a bunch of people offering up prayers and saying they're sorry. So that's most likely the personal reasons.

I think he's doing good. Especially since he's just starting out. I love the knowledge he brings. He breaks things down VERY well. But I do miss Wesley's personality though. I think the banter between him and Joel felt more natural. But give AD more time and I'm sure his personality will start coming through more.

TNT hopefully has some real truth to them because they just said something along the lines of the pelicans are telling us that the worst case it’s a short term injury and he has not been ruled out beyond tonight. Did say he was going to be reavul this weekend.

HOPEFULLY they are right. But since they're having our game for opening night that might just be them trying to keep peoples hopes up so that they might still tune in. Ratings and such.
The Pelicans app says they will be streaming it on their website.

the point of the article (and my post) is that very soon (by Oct 21) the pels will have to decide whether to offer ingram an extension, and ingram will have to decide whether to sign it. that decision will be made...before the season starts

My post wasn't directed to you or the article. No problems with that. But looking through some of the post it was turning into a whole trade Lonzo, or trade both of them for this and that thread.
I know patience isn't a virtue in sports, but can we at least wait to see how the team looks together before we start talking about who has to be traded?
Really starting to miss the times when Pels didn't have as many fans.
Really hate to read this. It's amazing that his first year I wanted to stick a blade in my ear listening to him call games. He was one of the worst commentators I heard. And then he got SO much better and became one of my favorites, which I never saw coming. Hopefully this is because he has something great lined up for himself. Otherwise this is just straight up bad news.

Honestly, I took "let's dance" as a planted marketing phrase from the beginning. Maybe I'm just being too cynical.

The first time he said it was during his interview right after he got drafted. With how emotional he got with his mom up there, I doubt he had any kind of planted marketing phrase going through his head.
