Looks like he is getting suspended for the season for sleeping with a staffer. Crazy.

Considering no criminal charges I assume this was consensual?
Assuming so, that's kinda wild unless this was a Rosas situation and it was creating a toxic work situation, in which case you'd expect him to just be fired.
Goes to show though, dont take for granted that your team will have another chance at a chip, crazy shite is always lurking that can derail a window of oppurtunity.

He is married yes, but I don’t get why the Celtics are blowing this up so much. They could have fined him and suspended him without leaking everything like this. Why potentially blow your season up over off the court issues that aren’t illegal?

Suspended for a year seems crazy. I get they have a clause that says no relationships with people on the staff, but it seems like if that happened, you'd get fired. The only reason he's not fired is b/c he's the first year head coach that just led them to the finals.
I don't understand why this even had to be made public. Seems like something that should have been handled internally. I would have to assume whoever he slept with is the one making this a big deal, or he pulled a Costanza and did it at work and someone witnessed it.

My guess is that this was a long term thing rather than a one off.
Someone with his success as coach for them doesn’t get a year suspension for getting a hummer as a one off.

Could create even more problems internally if other have been disciplined or there is a sense of inequity amongst the staff.
Also, could be a more toxic situation than has leaked so far.

Obvious speculation here, but I'd guess enough people knew to where someone was going to leak it and it couldn't remain internal only.

There’s also rumors that he was caught in the team locker room and that’s how it all started.
Either way, a year suspension seems excessive, but when you consider the possibility of how many lawsuits Boston could be hit with, it makes a little more sense. A lot of companies ban interoffice relationships because of that reason. Hell, Gersan Rosas just got fired from the Wolves for the same thing a year or two ago.

Lawsuits, terrible press, angry front office(if reports he was hooking up with a staff members wife), looks bad on Brad Stevens, and who knows if there was lies/cover ups.
