This board almost universally agreed that AD was a top 3 player at the time. It became pretty clear early on that Boogie was the better player of the two when they were on the court together. Boogie was virtually unstoppable.
You have some weird revisionist history going on or just didn't watch the Pelicans at the time.
It was a great trade, but unfortunately the injury happened. Biggest what could have been in Pels history.

The Boogie trade was the best move Demps did as a gm, it also helped make people forget the huge mistake he made drafting Buddy over Murray. Before Boogie got hurt dude was putting up baby Joker numbers.

Buddy is 32 playing for his 6th team on a $9.4 AAV contract. He would have made no impact here and done his journeyman gig regardless.

Heild should have never been the pick. Almost all the experts had Murray ranked higher.
That being said, it was a really great trade to get Boogie. He went for far less than he should have.
Griff had the chance to get a few players like that, that could have changed the trajectory of our franchise.
