I don't think Herb could fetch No. 11 in this draft.

I still don't think Herb fetches No. 11 in this draft. If so, I'd make the trade.

Herb and the better of Bucks/Pels pick next year for #11.

Who says no? Definitely not Joe.

Everyone else would though besides the receiving team

I saw the projected trade from the Pistons, which included Holland, Stewart, pick #21, and a 2028 1st. I actually kind of like that deal. Holland is super young and very talented. Stewart is a serviceable big. Pick #21 could be a rotational project.

If we do this, I think we can move both Jones and Missi as well, who are redundant with Holland and Stewart. I think the Lakers would give us pick #25 and a future swap for both. They wouldn't have to send back salary to us either, maybe just Vanderbilt and Knecht.

That would leave us with..

Fears
Murray/Knecht
Williamson/Holland
Bey/Vanderbilt
Queen/Stewart

We will have picks #21 and #25 to add depth. We need to move Poole and Hawkins to figure out guard depth (or waive them/let them expire). We could have the full exception as well.

I know people might not like this type of turnover. But this is the first step towards a proper rebuild. We need to feature Murray and Williamson to increase their value. We'll have some veteran pieces to flip (Bey, Stewart, maybe Vanderbilt). I like taking a shot with Knecht as a reclamation project. Then we'll have a ton of young pieces. It does no good to tank with the new rules, so we can't strip it down to nothing.

What has Holland shown so far? I like Stewart. However, not enough value IMO. Makes us a drastically worse shooting team.

He is about to turn 21 and is an elite level defender. He can play 2-4 with exceptional length. Very similar to Jones, but 7 years younger and way cheaper (Pistons have a similar guy in Thompson, so Holland is blocked there). Still young enough to develop as a shooter. Great young asset to grow with Fears and Queen.

Shooting will have to come from all down the line up. But we'll put an emphasis on defense first, and the shooting will come.

I think the tide has actually turned on the 3pt shot and we will see numbers decrease quite a bit next season. All the heavy volume teams flamed out in the playoffs. Its apparent that there is such a thing as too much, and teams are emphasizing efficiency. Well still need to put up 30+ 3pt a game. But having Murphy be 10 of those wasn't a good model.

Is he? Elite is a strong word. Why doesn't he stay on the floor? I think he is a good defender, but is his offensive game so bad that he is hard to keep on the floor? I would not mind taking a shot on him, but this price is a bit high for me. I would want more value in the trade. Jones and Missi are worth more than a late 1st and future swap as well. The later 1st rounders don't do much for me.

This is kind of a wild idea, but I keep seeing them talking about Lebron James being a FA. But he'll have to be a S&T to get anywhere close to the 50M he got this past season. So they are trying to showcase teams that have assets to move. But nobody wants to give up any extreme value.

So what if the Lakers wanted to finally pair up Zion with Doncic? It's low risk, as Zion has outs in his contract and it's short term. Doncic and Zion have complimentary games, and they are partnered with Nike.

As far as James in NO. We could give him a 2Y/100Mish deal (might have to throw in Looney to make the money work). We can sell him on future ownership, as a minority with the option to become a principal after retirement.

I am not a James fan, but he would dramatically change our profile. We would sell out every game and get a new TV deal. He actually fits really well on the roster, even if he's load managed. Murphy and Murray would shine next to him. We'd be competitive right away, and the young assets can grow without pressure. It might be the deepest team he has played on in years. Plus he'd have a vested interest in growing these players.

I'll admit it's a fantasy. But it makes a lot of sense for everyone involved..

Lebron would pay the Pelicans $50mil to not play here.

Lebron probably has a clause in video games that don't allow him to be traded to teams like the Pelicans.

We already have Zion doing that because of his ridiculous draft hype..

And if he got dealt to someone like Golden State he would get fit and healthy, leave the instathots be and average 25/10/5 for 5 years.

I’m not holding onto a woman that doesn’t cook or clean, on the fear she might somewhere else if I get rid of her.

It looks like the Grizzlies are pretty desperate to dump Morant and move on. I saw a trade that had us packaing Murray, Hawkins and 2nds for him. I want to hang onto Murray. But what if they get so desperate they take Poole, Hawkins, and a protected 1st (top 5 protected) in like 2029? We'd have to explore that, right?

Fears and Morant don’t fit at all.
