Same shite yall said about Durant. His stats will still be good for a few years but injuries will pile up and you’ll notice that despite the stats his teams don’t really go anywhere.
Said it before. Saying it again. You don’t trade for dudes over 30 with injury histories especially bigs based on athleticism.

To me, the team to watch is the Thunder. They want to keep their window open as long as possible. Which means swapping out guys due big deals, and keep stocking with guys on low/rookie level type contracts. They are loaded with future picks and obscene depth. It's not crazy they might look to move a few of their primary pieces.
The one I am thinking about the most is Cason Wallace. He is due a big extension this summer. With Mitchell busting out, and they still have Topic and McCain. Do they look to move Wallace now? If they are letting Dort go, and we offer Jones/Fears for Wallace/Joe, do they go for that?
I would hate to give up Jones or Fears. But Wallace is 22 and a premier two-way PG with all-star potential (definitely all defense). The price is going to be steep, and we aren't going to out deal OKC.

No way. I understand the team dynamics are different, on account of one being great and the other being horrendous, but no way would I make that trade. Fears is 19 years old and averaged 14/4/3 and Wallace is 22 and averaged 8/3/3 in 1 minute more per game. Fears is also 1 year into his rookie contract and Wallace, like you said, is going to get paid soon.

I do like Herb, but he doesn't fit in with the roster construction and he's arguably hit his ceiling.
If we are building around Fears and Queen (and Z for a bit), we need more knock down shooters than Trey Murphy. I'd use pick 11 on a guy that can shoot. And we would have him on a rookie deal on same timeline as Fears and Queen.
I'd also be looking to trade for guys like Corey Kispert and G Dick. I know they have been disappointing, but we need to stop building this roster like it's the 1990's. We have a couple guys that create mismatches and are good enough passers for their positions. Now we need some guys that can actually knock down those open shots.

They are projecting Wallace to get a 4Y/100M deal. This is all how you predict each one going forward. I believe that Wallace can score an efficient 12+ppg, while being an elite level defender combo guard (ala Marcus Smart or Avery Bradley). He would slide into the backcourt along with Murray, since he can play 2-3 positions. So we aren't pressed to try and balance Fears and Murray, or trade Murray to make room for Fears. It just schematically fixes our line up and plugs major holes. Adding Joe is a major bonus. Losing Jones hurts, bit I like Bey taking his spot/minutes.
We need to add players from winning cultures/systems.

If we trade Herb we might as well trade everyone. When he isn’t on the court, we suck arse even more than we usually do. Herb is not the kind of guy we need less of. We need more guys like Herb, if we care about winning right now.
2022: +6.3
2023: +3.2
2024: +2.9
2025: +10.5
2026: +4.6
You don't luck into that year after year over the course of 8800 minutes. As you said, when he plays, we're MUCH better than when he doesn't play.
To take it a step further, playing 5 seasons for a shite franchise that has averaged less than 35 wins pers season since Herb arrived, Herb STILL has a positive Net Rating when he's on the court over those 5 years, at +2.4.

Give up Zion for #11 straight up.
We should have cut Zion last season when we had the chance if he truly had zero trade value when we allegedly shopped him but no one wanted him.

I mean, sure they'll listen because why not but it would take a king's ransom to get to 1 in this draft. Like crazy capital.

Peterson and Bailey is a fun trade for Dybansta. Wizards wanted Bailey in last years draft too.

To think we let Bryson Graham walk. If he were to connect on a trade like this

11 isn’t enough to get any of our core players. They would need to add more draft assets or a solid role player if not a starter.
