So "rl jus got a fakin" is "people are threatening us"? "Modern" English is going to be unrecognizable in a decade or 2.

I am not well versed on the lingo either.. but I took it as.. "Hey this guy is out here acting like he is a gangster with a gun, but I think he is lying, so bring me my gun so I can show him what a real gangster does."

I think the fact you could come to a lot of different conclusions based on that text sort of reinforces why you cant really charge him based off that alone. Even setting aside how apparently difficult it is to charge that in Alabama.

From the article I read "faking" is supposedly used as a way of saying someone is stepping to you/talking violence at you but hasn't done anything yet. They are "fakin"

But like I said, I'm not black and not Gen Z, if newer slang sticks it doesn't get to us for 2-5 years minimum lol. That's the cycle.

Really have a lot of confidence in someone who says she can’t answer the question, and then in the next sentence, answers the question (though the answer is dubious at best).

The question was why, he didn't attempt to answer it in the next sentence

We knew this when the report first came out.

Right or wrong...I'd suggest the Pels draft Brandon Miller if they get the chance. Can always turn around & trade him. He's pretty good.

Gonna be weird if we either get the third pick or if Miller drops to where we are in the draft.

Man, I watched Miller tonight

If I could get to the bottom of this gun ordeal and really figure out if he’s a decent person

I might pick him 2. Dude plays like a Paul George Robot that is about 1-2 inches taller and longer.

He’s awesome.

I have to see Scoot actually play a game. It’s hard to imagine he’s as good as what I saw from Miller tonight though.

I mean scoots a kid playing against grown arse men and playing incredibly well when healthy.

If Miller keeps playing like this tho those two being picked second might be determined on fit

Nice to see a college player finally show elite abilities at this level. A lot of these draft prospects so far have been a bit meh or disappointing. Hopefully Nick smith can continue to play well.

I’ve seen cases made on a lot less. He transported the weapon to one of the perps. But for his action, the victim may well be alive. He had some idea the perp intended to use the weapon. That alone would seem enough for a conspiracy or criminal negligence charge. Full facts are important, but I’m not sure he’s out of the woods yet….

Well, we do have strong ties to the Alabama basketball program these past few years, so if any team has a leg up on getting the facts right it would be us.

The victims family has a ready made annuity built in to his future earnings. Even if he is not charged criminally, they likely will get a plaintiffs attorney to jump on the case against Miller.

Complicated situation for sure. I'd bet things get much more cleared up over the next few days...regarding BM's "situation".

On the court, I had my doubts earlier this season...but he has made a fairly huge jump in several key areas over the past month or two. You don't usually see THIS kind of improvement in such a short period of time...from a guy this young and gifted. Paul George is an excellent comparison.
