but I recall roughly 2 months ago that there were still people on here who wanted to keep Griff.
they really loved that one good draft year and the fence sitter moves that are neither all in win now moves or rebuild

Griff needs to go, Willie will stay and finish out his last year hopefully with a health roster for once. Im not the biggest fan of Willie's decision making however the players enjoy playing for him and hes never really had a consistent healthy rotation.

I have a bad feeling both will be coming back. We have an owner who is clueless and also doens't give a shite and there's not enough heat from the media to make them make a move, so they'll just stand pat and run it back again, while letting the 2nd worst GM in the league make more stupid offseason decisions.

I'm more concerned he's going to keep trying to build around Zion. The coach won't matter until we get serious about winning, and that requires serious players.

There is no savior out there to take to take the place of either man.

Both need to be gone, along with the entire training staff.

No gm has done less after being given more than him.

Started off with AD, Jrue and Zion on the roster. And all of his draft picks with no bad contracts. And we are no better than when he took over.

Give cp3 5 raising canes, 5 mill fix for 3 years and a jet (lease). Dudes played at 4 or 5 western conference organization, would guess he’s capable to coach soon but could be done from a gm role.

Down 35-13 after 1Q lol, no chance he is back. This is a team that has no interest in winning for their coach. It's over

He's gone. Unless we plan to tank for another season. Which we should.
Reason why:

1. Top 4 draft pick, need to give that guy minutes, we're not in a win now position with Dejounte gone next year
2. Dejounte is hurt next year
3. If green stay we're aren't winning. If we hire a new coach we still not winning, because it's his first year on the job.
4. Next draft has potentially four franchise players.
5. We don't know if Zion is going to be healthy next season.
6. Injury bug, let's keep it a buck we're probably the most injured team in the league so we can expect at least two of our players not to be healthy at all next season judging by past seasons. Can you guess who??

I would be fielding trade offers for Zion, get another war chest, get this top 4 draft pick, hope for a another top 4 draft pick next year. Get dejounte back during that 2026 season then run with that. But knowing Griff he's going to *****foot around and hold Zion still he has no value like Ingram and Lonzo.

So your plan is to run a 30 year old Murray with two teenagers to try and win?

No, the plan is a soft rebuild. This era is over. We squandered the entire trade package we got for AD, that we were suppose to have used to win with Zion.

1. 4th pick (Nickeil and Jaxson)
2. 8th pick (dyson)
3. Gave away Ingram for almost nothing
4. Gave away Lonzo for almost nothing
5. Probably some more I can't think of...

That's like you basically saying my plan is to run 29 year old Jrue with Zion his first year plus all the lakers capital and say try to win. Whats crazy you same people would agree yeah but not agree to this. You missing the forest for the trees. We thinking long term. Zion isn't staying after his contract and we already know Griff history with getting adequate value for trade assets. Zion hasn't added anything to his game substantial and we don't even know if he can raise his game in the playoffs. Yall would rather be a barely make the playoffs/playin team with Zion and no trade assets for the next three years instead of going ahead and going into a soft rebuild with another war chest. You same people would have tried to convince AD in his last year to stay as a GM and end result would be no assets instead of trading him while his contract was still in effect and him noninjured. Remember Dejounte don't come back for another season, we don't have a legit point guard no more so 2025 is basically a bust. Next two years is all we have left with Zion... then what?? Look at the Thunder GM, he thought long-term and made plans for the future, now they have assets galore and a contender for the foreseeable future because they cashed in on assets at the right time. Nobody knew SGA would be this good now look. Just two teenagers when basically the only elite thing about our organization is the draft scouts huh?

Don't forget giving up a 1st and 4 2nds to obtain and offload Graham.

That first became Mark Williams who's easily a top 10 center (when healthy)

Yeah because someone with health issues at the 5 is who we would want to pair with fricking Zion.

I wonder if CP3 is going to be a coach when he retires. I’d hire him as a coach in a heartbeat. He’ll probably fail at his first coaching job but I’d take the chance.

We should have hired Taylor Jenkins already, but I’m sure our idiot GM won’t be changing anything this offseason.
