Pro Basketball Talk on the Lakers from their weekly power ratings-

quote:

27. Lakers 3-10, LW 27). It sounds strange to say it just 13 games into the season, but if the Lakers are going to turn this dreadful start around and make a playoff push, it has to come in the next couple of weeks against a soft part of the schedule. Their next six games are Pistons, Spurs, Suns, Spurs two more times, then the Pacers (let the Myles Turner rumors fly). If Los Angeles doesn’t come out of this stretch at least 4-2, then is this season even salvageable? The Lakers need more of the Anthony Davis we saw against the Nets for this to happen.

Waiting for the wheels to come off, personally. LeBron’s going to fricking lose his shite over signing that extension and not getting a better trade than P Bev.

Nic Claxton is 6'11 215. The centers for all the teams listed are all more like 250. I doubt you'll see the same AD when someone that isn't a stick man leans on him all night long.

I sat behind Cam Jordan last night at the Bulls game and he was clowning all over the Lakers for giving up on signing Caruso ... thought it was pretty funny

The Lakers get 4 days off before and the Pistons are on a back to back. If they lose this game contract the team.

Is Cade still out for Pistons? However, Isaiah Stewart is going to get his revenge against LBJ if he plays.

The craziest part, they won't even get a full 24 hours rest before playing again

He had a great game tonight. Sacramento is a fun team to watch, they play with speed and put up a lot of points but have a pretty poor defense so still have a lot of close, high-scoring contests. This could be the year they finally end their playoff drought that predates the iPhone.

They didn’t really “let” him go.

He was a 1 year contract, so they had no Bird rights on him and they either couldn’t or wouldn’t offer him the MLE.

Monk is making $9m+ this year.

Taxpayer MLE is about $6m and that was the most LA could offer.

Juan Toscano-Anderson (mid-back soreness) is out for tonight’s game vs. Detroit.

How do they have someone out with soreness when they've had four days off?
