We should be getting a pick for him. They got #16 for taking his contract.

Resign Lonzo to 20 per, sign 2 guard to start (Powell/Hardaway), sign backup 4/5 (Bobby Portis), call it a day.

Lonzo, Kira, FA
Powell/Hardaway Jr., NAW, Jones
Ingram, 3M3, Naji
Zion, Portis,
Valanciunas, Hayes, FA

Starting 5 is formidable.
Bench becomes a strength and all players can spot start and not have much drop off.

With what money? You’re crazy if you don’t think Powell is going to get 20. Hardaway at 17ish and Portis around 10.

I feel like that would be a B plus offseason tbh.

Get off Bled and Adams. Get Jonas, THJ, Portis. Drafted a nice wing with promise. Resigned Lonzo at a reasonable number and still have the option to trade him for a bigger fish or better fit later.

Think he was indicating either or, not both

Sounds like the Pelicans are linked to every single free agent out there. This is getting silly.

Probably Fischer. He throws everything against the wall so that he can say he reported it first if it happens.

I’m not sure he will. The only place we’ve heard Dinwiddie mentioned besides us was Washington and that seemed like an agent trying to stoke the market. I don’t think many teams are after him.

That came directly out of dinwiddie's mouth. He said he wanted to play with beal.

I believe he wants to stay in the northeast.

A pick?

OKC would have to send multiple picks for me to take him since they wouldn't be taking back any bad salary.

What about Schroeder? He has no leverage against the Lakers. He is going to get low balled on a long term deal and there are a glut of PGs on the market. How about signing him to a one year prove it deal?

Could make Bulls want to overpay for Lonzo

well it may also eliminate the "poison pill" contract language we are afraid of. The Bulls would be up against it if they max out Lavine with Vuc and "poison pill" Zo

"The numbers floating around for Duncan Robinson’s next contract are an average annual value between $16 million and $18 million."

At that price, go after him Griff. Dinwiddie and Duncan, at 16-18 million each, sign Hart to 10 million, s&t Ball for Aminu, bring back Billy, and call.it an offseason, save the MLE to use in the buyout market.

Jake Fischer just dropped a new article. LINK

Bullet Points:
* Reiterates the Lowry to Miami rumors
* DeRozan getting strong interest from Knicks, Pistons, Mavs
* THJ is plan B for Mavs
* Dwight Powell could be traded
* Alex Caruso to the Wizards for full MLE is picking up steam
* Dinwiddie to Wizards has lost momentum and he seems like the preferred PG option in NOLA
* OKC is interested in Dinwiddie and wants to give him a 2/$40 offer
* Lonzo is expected to sign a 4/$84 offer sheet with the Bulls
* Detroit is a possible landing spot for Norman Powell

That would be terrible if we sign Dinwiddie. We would really have no floor spacing in the starting line up again. I’m not counting on NAW because he’s more of a scorer than shooter.

If we could get Duncan at that price to put next to Dinwiddie, it would make Dinwiddie more palatable (as long as he is in that price range or less, maybe $15-$16 million over 3 years).

Last season you had Adams instead of JV, and Bledsoe was miscast as a spacer instead of being involved in the P&R. It may not be ideal, but it should be an improvement because you take 2 non shooters and replace them with a shooter (JV) or put them in the P&R action (Dinwiddie).

JV is definitely better than Adams. However, his average shot distance was still only about 2 feet further than Adams (and 20th closest in the NBA, as opposed to Adams being 6th closest). So, while I think he improves spacing over Adams, not sure how drastic of an improvement.

He's decent at mid range though, so even if he's not creating gravity, he can knock down a 15 footer.

I think if they go with Dinwiddie, they also go after a shooter to start at SG next to him. Or, they just keep Lonzo.
