That sequence reminded me of so many gym games where the best player didn't touch the ball on offense so he didn't give a shite about anything else.

Unless Spurs can have an amazing run home, I can't see Lakers finishing any worse than 10th worse.
It's gonna be very touch and go whether we can get it.

Important result yesterday was Kuzma leading the Wizards to a victory over the Pistons. By the way, I see that Sato played 13 minutes and had four points in that contest. Washington still has the 5th-easiest remaining schedule.
The easiest remaining schedule is Portland's, so who knows if they can tank.
Editing and reposting my post from several pages ago:
Lakers have the toughest remaining schedule in the league. It's 2nd-toughest by opponent record, with two games remaining against us, the Nuggets, Raptors, Warriors, and Suns; and one game remaining against the Mavs, 76ers, Spurs, Cavs, Clippers, Wolves, and Jazz.
I don't think that they will be favored in any of those 17 games. I think they will only be favored in their two games against the Wizards and their games against the Rockets and Thunder (four in all).
Of those remaining 21 games, though, only 7 are at home (but one "road" game is against the Clippers).
The 538 prediction model has them finishing in a tie with the Spurs for the #9 draft slot. It has the Wizards in the #11 slot, based on their easier schedule. The Kings, Blazers, and Knicks are in the #6-8 slots.
Tonight's games are unlikely to change those odds:
- We host the Kings
- Portland travels to Phoenix
- Knicks play at Philly

Followed by a crown emoji. Lebron is such a douche

WAS winning was huge.
need them to stay ahead of the lakers and if the pels do their job the top 10 pick is within reach
pels have lost 2x to the kings this year

The Lakers meltdown is making me $, helping the Pels, and LeBron losing is an additional plus.
Keep it up Bron!

Some of our remaining games:
3/18 Game #70 @ Spurs
3/26 Game #74 Spurs
3/27 Game #75 Lakers
3/30 Game #76 @ Portland
4/1 Game #77 @ Lakers
4/7 Game #79 Portland
Maybe we can blow by the Lakers in the next several games and be in a position to "rest" some of our key players during 4 of those games. (Probably much more likely for the Portland games since they will be SO late in the year)

I'm sure they do lmao

The only team I can remotely see being interested is Houston for Wall, with the 2027 pick attached by the Lakers...
But I hope no one bails them out.

Westbrick is a cautionary tale of paying anyone who relies on extreme athleticism once they hit 30.
Iverson is another guy who declined rapidly as he aged.
Looking at their raw numbers doesn't tell the story.
Honestly, this is one of my concerns about Zion as well.

Sad thing is, beating Spurs and Portland means they can't make up games on Lakers to knock them down a rung
Real double edged sword
Although, everyone should have written Portland off now. Real tank mode

I don’t care if they had prime Westbrook, it’s extremely hard to win with him. He doesn’t fit the current game and if he is your 1-2 he is too inefficient to actually help you win. Stat filler and nothing really more

Rusty would have made about 300 mil in his career
edit: *checks Spotrac*
289 mil, pretty close!
He is super washed now, which only helps us

Speaking of Westbrook, best way I can see some team deciding to take him, is a team that has blown things up & is in total rebuild mode. You don't plan on winning next season anyway so get RW, arrange it (like OKC did) so that RW can get a triple double basically EVERY game.
Let him break the single season record for triple doubles (42) which many people would think is a big deal. (Hint: it's a joke stat) Home folks would eventually start coming out to see him pursue the record. NBA would make a big deal out of it...even though he would still be the same crappy player he is now. After that season is over, he's gone, and off the payroll, but he gets to go out on a high note & that team has an interesting year while in total rebuild mode.

he's a 50MM dollar expiring contract.
the only way someone takes him is to clear their books (with a pick or 2 for their trouble). he'd immediately get bought out

Don't confuse me with facts (G)...I'm just trying to find some way a turrible player who is gonna make $47M next year...MIGHT at least have SOME value to SOMEBODY.

Westbrook's 50 mil expiring could get traded
If they attach 50 first rounders

I'm concerned that Westbrook plus the Lakers 27/29 1sts and a 28 swap might be enough to get Lillard.
If you get those 3 unprotected, that's probably a higher probability of paying out big than our Bucks picks.
