The only team that really comes to mind to me is the Knicks, but I don’t really see any others that really fit that criteria

I could cherry pick a bunch of teams. But it is very fluid depending on circumstances. Say a team like the Hawks. Young gets hurt in the playoffs and is going to miss most of 22/23. They want to get off Collins. They could package him and Bogdanovic and free up 40M+.

My favorite is still the Magic. They will have a top 5 pick. They pair that pick with that young core (Wagner, Anthony, Suggs, Carter, maybe Isaac). They can package Fultz and Ross to take on Westbrook. They have the space without sending out more salary. They would probably get a future 1st. Westbrook would take 40Mish on a buyout. Going into 2023 They have a max slot to add a FA to a great young core.

OKC could probably take rustle into cap space, get one of those future lakers picks and a swap, then waive him and move on like nothing happened

nothing would change as far as their team on the floor

Switch it around a bit and I see it happening…

Wall to LA, Westbrick to OKC, $47m+ TPE to Houston.

If Houston throws in additional assets to dump Gordon or Wood, I’m sure OKC would be fine with that too.

This could include stripping protections from previous Houston picks sent to OKC, as OKC still has Houston’s 1-4 protected picks for 2024 and 2026 due to the original Westbrook trade.

As the Lakeshow looks to lose another game in embarrassing fashion, the national media is getting louder and louder. Would be awesome if they blow it up after this year.

Problem is San Antonio, Sacramento, and Portland all suck, and I'm thinking they'll still end up making the play-in and will get ref'd into the 8 seed.

Hard to comprehend how good of a position the pels near future will be in when Lebron forces his way out of LA

Portland has the easiest remaining schedule in the league according to tankathon. Lakers have the second hardest. Hopefully that’ll be the difference maker

This Lakers team is so mentally weak. As soon as the other team goes on any sort of a run, they immediately fold.

Sad but true. None of those teams are catching the Lakers, even though they are equally, if not more terrible right now

Why? Kings had 2 more losses than Spurs. Spurs were the only ones with a tiny chance to catch Lakers

Maybe Sac Town have a tiny chance since they didn't blow it up

Don't forget the Wizards. I think we will get Lakers pick, even if the Lakers finished 10th & make the play-in game.
