I think they’ll probably just roll with Theis and Thompson at C, barring injuries. I doubt they use the trade exception at all, unless they have some crazy injuries.
I don’t think they would want to turn it into negative assets, unless they were basically forced to.

Trade exceptions are rarely used, but I could see it as valuable in an emergency for them.

Small town introvert that just want's to hoop and chill got drafted to a media circus in LA and then got thrown away like trash by LeBron. Being able to contrast NOLA and LA probably makes him like it here 1000x more than if the Pels had drafted him.
