Can’t believe it’s been 20 years since the Hornets came to New Orleans. Made me start remembering how awesome it’s been to have to see some greats.

My favorite memories are seeing Jordan pass Wilt on All Time Scoring. Seeing Kobe and Shaq, and watching David West.

Hopefully this season brings a whole new wave of celebration, it feels like a special year.

I saw the Lebron led Heat shite on us one time. Far from my favorite memory at SKC but was cool to see a great cook like that. Think he made like 7 3s in a row

Saw AI eliminate us in game 6 and walked away thinking there is no guarding AI it’s just a matter of whether his shot goes in. Michael Vick is the only other athlete I’ve seen live where it took all of about 2 minutes to realize this guy moves differently than everyone else.

Through pure dumb luck and good fortune sat courtside and Chris Paul break the consecutive games with a steal record against the spurs.

Saw both home games where we swept the blazers and then watched the Pels boat race the warriors in game 3. For a moment there we seemed invincible.

Saw steph curry get a second chance to make a three in game 3 of the 2014 series. He drained it to send game to OT and we never stood a chance.

Watched the Pels lose game 7 to the spurs from Bruno’s. A very underrated sports heartbreak moment for me.

Man. I went to so many memorable games. Sadly more were memorable for bad reasons like losing by 58 in a playoff game, blowing a 20 pt 4th quarter lead in another, our mascot jumping through a ring of fire but being unable to extinguish the flames...

I remember those lean years with Dan Dickau, Jackson Vroman, and JR Smith, and catching all the games on CST, and loving every every bit of it. I was just thankful to see NBA basketball in New Orleans.

Crazy that it's been 20 years.

Whose the all time New Orleans Pelicans team?

Chris Paul/Baron
Jrue/Herb
Brandon Ingram/Mashburn
David West/Zion
Anthony Davis/Tyson Chandler

Mashburn over Peja the toughest call for me. Putting Baron Davis anywhere near this is depressing but who else can you put.

That was a special memory, my dad took me to that game, I watched so many bulls games on WGN with my dad growing up and so wanted to see him play once in my life. I knew before the game how many points he needed to move into 3rd all time and I counted and I was the only one in the arena it felt like who cheered when he passed him

Then like 5 mins later the announcer told everyone the milestone, I felt so proud of myself as a teenager lol.

I was at the game when Kobe was on his run of straight 50-point games... just hoping we could keep him from hitting that number

we did not

that was a playoff game right?

extended halftime by like 20-30 minutes b/c they used a powder fire extinguisher instead of CO2 and they had to clean up the powder

yeah against the Spurs right after the Mavs series. I can't remember if it was game 1 or 2, but I know we won the game and the media tried to blame that.

Anyone else see MJ play in that last year with the Wizards?

Yea you appear to be correct. He played 82 games his first year here, averaged 21, and that is probably what I remember. Poor mash only played 19 games the next season, zero in year 3 and then was out of the league at 32. Tough break for what I recall being a consummate pro.

I remember watching that first CST game with Bob and Gil on a small little box TV in my bedroom. Good times.

Baron
DW
Mashburn
PJ
Jamal

Good times indeed.
