re: 18-19 Tank Watch - 3 Way Tie for 7th

If we lose out, we are guaranteed at least a tie for 7th, as Dallas and Memphis play each other twice.
Washington has New York and Chicago (who shut down Lauri) on their schedule.
Lose out and Pels will be 7th or tied for 6th in all likelihood. Win one game and probably tied for 7th or 8th. Win two games and probably 9th.
I think both Kings games are losses and I think Warriors will want to go into the playoffs strong. So, the three winnable games are LA, Charlotte, and at Phoenix. Charlotte will be competing for playoffs in all likelihood, LeBron will play and Phoenix is playing all their guys and trying to win. Losing out is definitely possible, especially if we can find a way to shut down Randle and/or Payton

Phoenix isn't trying to lose, but Phoenix is being forced to play rookies, Jimmer, Richaun Holmes, Bender and Troy Daniels. That's not a recipe for wins. Booker has scored 109 points in the last two games and the Suns have lost both games.

TJ and Oubre were two of our only legit decent veteran players and they're both done for the year. Also Josh Jackson, who always does well against NO, had his ankle explode recently. Tyler Johnson has actually been really good with Booker. He also is injured.

Ayton Booker & Bridges is still a hell of a lot more talent than the Pels have right now when AD sits fortunately. It's also at Phoenix, so that helps.

Rookies don't really impact winning. Ayton can't do anything by himself, and Bridges shows a lot of promise as a 3&D guy, but he's not moving the needle. I'd love to win, I'm just telling you to not expect PHX to come out and win big or something. If y'all want to lose games, you'll likely be disappointed. I'd be surprised if PHX wins another game this season.

We can’t afford to win this game if we want to move up from 9
Posted on 3/28/19 at 9:11 pm to Charlito
We’re winning this. The best we’ll get is 9th

Because you got assholes like Wood trying to make the league and busting his arse. Dude will not be like this come next year

The Pels are playing 4D Chess. If the Kings drop to 13th then the odds of them (Boston) getting a top 4 pick double.

Ok I get it. Fans want their team to get better draft picks. But how can you possibly be mad that professional players are still playing hard? They get paid to play this game. shite dont make no damn sense. ![](https://images.tigerdroppings.com/Images/Icons/IconLOL.gif)

That was extremely frustrating to watch. Brutal win

Just terrible scouting and coaching for Sacramento to decide to iso Harrison Barnes on Kenrich Williams in the low post, on the biggest possession of the game. As soon as they started that play I knew it was going nowhere.
Literally every matchup on the court was better for them than that one. Fox, Buddy, Bagley, PnR with WCS. Anything was better.

Except these young guys trying to prove themselves will either be an end of the bench guy or just go to another team. Same shite happened with James Ennis

I'd much rather see a guy like Wood come out of nowhere and be competent or better (24/9 over past 2 games on 18/25 shooting) than be ~2 percentage points more likely to get a Morant/Zion.
I just think it's stupid to root against actual success for hope of potential success. Yeah, I'd be bitching if we were winning because AD (who will be gone in the offseason) were playing 35+ mpg, and we were playing the likes of Jrue and Moore through injuries. But if the likes of Frank Jackson, Kendrick, and some 23 year old that I've never heard of are playing well enough for us to win? frick it, let's ride with that. It's not going to significantly affect our odds of getting a legit player in the draft.

Because we’ve seen this shite before where we get a g league guy who hasn’t done shite his whole career, balls out for us at the end of the season, and then when the next season starts he’s just a end of the bench type producer.
