Who here has never listened to The Dark Side of the Moon

by Pink Floyd. If not, you are in for the experience of a lifetime. I"ve been watching reaction videos of young and mostly black people listening to such music for the first time and they are blown away. I feel so lucky to be born in 1960, if just for the music I grew up with.

I remember this album scaring me when I was 3 or 4. My dad would put the record on and all the random sounds and laughs freaked me out. I would start crying until he changed records.

I get your point - yes a bit. But I did have a real life circumsance with a co-worker who discovered Pink Floyd, Yes, Led Zepplin and other good music from the 70's - so I have seen genuine discovery and appreciation - without the desire fo clicks.

I r only listened to it 2 or 3 times, the 2nd and 3rd trying figure out what people were hearing that I didn't. Never figured it out

Blasphemy.
I was born in 62 and had siblings that were 8 & 10 years older than me so I was exposed to some great music as a kid that I maybe would have missed if I had been the oldest.
I saw the landscape of rock and roll and popular music change as rarely has since.
