For me it’s Willie Nelson. When I was young I couldn’t stand his voice and his odd way of singing about a half beat behind where my brain thought he should’ve started. Love him now.

Alice In Chains. I’m of the belief they’re probably the greatest 90s rock band.

I agree. Took me way too long to start listening to all their music. I love pearl jam and nirvana but I always crank the radio when AIC comes on.

Prob Steely Dan. Just couldn’t get into it when I was younger.

The Band and Leonard Cohen. Have always liked Steely Dan. Fell in love w Roy Orbison as a 6 year old kid the first time I heard “Running Scared”. To this day, it still moves the hell out of me.

I almost completely missed the '80's...due to school, marriage, and kids. Now I'm going back and listening to The Smiths, New Order, Martin Dupont, The Cure, Psychedelic Furs, XTC, etc..

I was into rock and blues, some reggae, and jazz-rock fusion, as a youth/young man. It wasn't until my late thirties/early forties that I entered the room marked Modern Acoustic Small Ensemble Jazz. I spent 10 years listening and collecting.

Recently it has been Jeff Beck. Never got into his solo early stuff but it is really good.

When chillin on Sundays or late evenings I’ll listen to some early Dire Straits and solo Mark Knopfler.. Dude is a phenomenal song writer and guitarist. His work with Emmylou Harris is easy listening

Ernest Tubb and Bob Wills. Cash doesn't pick up music if Tubb never existed.

Bob Wills and the western swing had more of an impact on American music than I ever thought.

Merle Haggard (was raised on his music and liked his hits but now fully immersed in his entire catalogue)

The Cramps I always liked punk but somehow missed them. They are awesome.

John Prine Really started to appreciate of his work after his last album was released. I guess I backed into him.
