People have been saying the same thing for decades. This isn’t a new or fresh take on not understanding music you don’t enjoy. We are just getting older because younger people love that shite

I didn't say I liked it (i don't mind it), but what I was stating was that the song "Old Town Road", which is considered country rap, was #1 on the Billboard charts for 19 straight weeks (a record).

You said rap and country doesn't go together. While you might not like it, the Billboard charts say otherwise..
You're conflating popularity with quality. Bud Light is the most popular beer in the US. I don't think you'll find anyone claiming that Old Town Road isn't popular.

Two separate arguments. One arguing the horrible-we-are-all-going-to-hell moral effects of popular music the other commenting on its comically degraded musicianship . I mean, I bought 45s in the 70s and 90% of it is garbage. OP is just pointing out garbage not saying there aren’t musical geniuses in Urban music.

Lmao.

Welcome back Darth.

Yes. Drake sucks arse. Plenty of excellent rap and hip hop out there though.

I’ve kind of become obsessed with the Aussie take on it. Most of the American stuff is shite.

This is the only true answer. In South Louisiana, we can't even get a rock station on the radio.

I am not saying something is quality because it is popular, but I am saying it is popular because people like it. He said country and rap does not go together. If a country-rap song is really popular then it does go together. It didn't become popular because the two genres don't go together at all.

Those are good. I’ll still take Motörhead & Iron Maiden over any of them though. Not that either of them could be considered hair bands though.

That's a Migos song that just features Drake.
