At least they didn't play that God awful country rap bullshite. I think I'd rather listen to Fran Drescher laughing for 5 minutes straight than that.
I’m with you there. Some things just do not mix. And high on that list is country music and rap. I like some country, I like some rap. But the two do not go together.

I graduated HS in 97, playing hip hop at a HS sporting event isn't something that is new. It was played when I was in school. My brother played football in the late 80s.. Guess what type of music they would play when they warmed up?

You obviously don’t walk it like you talk it

I don’t think you understood my point.

Bone Thugs-n-Harmony is my go to. This stuff is kinda...meh, but it grows on you.

Yeah because the Macarena was so awesome

I have no problem with hip hop. I wouldn’t call myself a hip hop fan. But there are hip hop songs I like.

You said people like this stuff because they’re young and don’t know any better
I’m not young, I know better, and I still like it

He’s our starting right guard. He’s just over 6’ and 245 lbs. Needless to say, keeping him fed is not fun.

It's called either hick hop, or crap. IMHO, it's better than pop country, but I don't listen to either by choice.
Eta: I'm sure people thought DJ Jubilee was garbage back in the day, but he was a pioneer for a genre of music, and everyone still gets down to it

Well Paige, nothing personal, but not everybody has good taste. I mean, this is a world where shitty superhero movies run circles at the box office around Scorsese films and people eat burritos at 7-11. I support your right to embrace the lowest common denominator. Knock yourself out.

I go to Planet Fitness and the music and videos they play give me that absolute shits.

But I’m not old so I like rap
I am "getting old" (41), but I grew up listening to rap/hip hop (as well as pop, classic rock, country, etc). My brother (10 years older than I) use to listen to mostly rap/hip hop.
When I was a kid he use to make me tapes.. Run DMC, 2 Live Crew, Beastie Boys, Egyptian Lover, Grandmaster Flash, etc.. I don't think I will ever get to a certain age and think "I am too old to listen to this".
Darth acts like its a mortal sin because they played hip hop at a football game, which I don't understand why its such a big deal. I am not sure what he expects them to play.

now considered music.
You act like this is some new type of music. You didn't listen to NWA, Too Short, etc, etc growing up?
