The fact that a country-rap song was one of the most popular songs ever... says

is not true.

You have to dig for good music these days. In fact, I had to dig for it a bit back in the 80s and 90s because Bon Jovi, Madonna, and the like weren't doing it for me.

Now that I listened, yeah, it's extremely crappy. Remember, the average IQ is 100, this is going to interest the tens of millions in the double digits.

If “ shitty rap music “ hypes LSU players up should we play that or Tchaikovsky? I mean, if it fires up players I’ll endure Boy Bands. Of course, that would make us Aggies but I digress...

Darth acts like its a mortal sin because they played hip hop at a football game, which I don't understand why its such a big deal. I am not sure what he expects them to play.

Wrong, dumbass. As usual, totally wrong. I have no problem with hip hop. I like a lot of hip hop and even told you much earlier. That song is an abomination to hip hop and all music. How anyone could like it is beyond me.

The fact you like country rap tells me all I need to know about your taste in music and explains your defense of the dogshit sounding song I linked.

I'm no fan of Migos but it's still music just because you hate it doesn't mean it isn't. There's a lot of mainstream garbage out there right now, but if you look around you'll find some good shite

I’m so happy that everyone doesn’t have to like the same things. The world would be so boring.

Well Paige, nothing personal, but not everybody has good taste.

Well Lsupimp, nothing personal, but just because you like or don't like something doesn't mean it is in "good taste".

quote:

I mean, this is a world where shitty superhero movies run circles at the box office around Scorsese films and people eat burritos at 7-11. I support your right to embrace the lowest common denominator. Knock yourself out.

I am not a big fan of superhero movies. I do like the Christopher Nolan version of Batman, but it was more than just throwing the super hero on screen with a bunch of explosions and action scenes an one of Scorsese's films is one of my favorite movies (Casino).. Did he do Wolf of Wall Street as well? if so, thats another favorite movie of mine.. And I have never in my life ate a burrito at a 7-11 (come to think of it, I don't even know if I ever been in a 7-11).

While I know you were responding to Paige, I am just pointing out that your assessment of people who listen to rap/hip hop is not at all accurate.

But hey.. at least you think highly enough of yourself to assume that whatever you like is "good taste".

Specifically what did I say that makes you assume I "suck at both critical thinking and message board posting"?

I didn't say I liked it (i don't mind it), but what I was stating was that the song "Old Town Road", which is considered country rap, was #1 on the Billboard charts for 19 straight weeks (a record).

You said rap and country doesn't go together. While you might not like it, the Billboard charts say otherwise..

The worst , and I man absolute worst of the hair band era, is when they would choreograph their head banging on stage. It’s fashionable to bash grunge, but man was I happy when grunge killed the hair bands.
