What the hell happened to music?!?

My son had his first football game of his senior year this week. During pregame they were playing this “song” (I use the term very loosely here)....

What in the actual frick is this dogshit? It goes on for over four torturous minutes of this dude just saying the same damned thing over and over. Is this really what passes for musical talent now?

Is it something that I listen to? No.
Plenty of good music out there though. I don’t judge today’s music by what they play before HS games.
We listened to all kinds of dumb shite in the locker room before games to get hyped.

Dumb, that’s the most listened to genre of music, anyone on this site with kids under 25 check out their playlists and I bet it’s all the same genre.

There was some really good music back when I was a kid, there was also some really terrible music. But even the terrible music at least sounded like, well music. Whatever that was didn’t remotely sound like music. It sounded like someone with Tourette’s Syndrome.

That’s a shame. I remember when we used to listen to good, wholesome music in the locker room before games. Something like this.
