If you want to play mind games, The Cure could be a baby boomer band. I don’t know if they’re “great” but they formed in 1976. The youngest boomers were born in 1964, so anyone older than 12 when The Cure formed is a boomer.
I feel old.

It was a time before synthesizers.
Emerson, Lake and Palmer put on a show I was at.
Doobie Brothers and Three dog were good as far as bands go.
Carol King was a great song writer and singer.

So everyone who doesn’t agree with who you supported should kick you to the curb?
It’s a shame what you are giving up in your life.

What are great bands or musicians of the Boomer era?
And some of us don't listen to the same old stale.

The Boomers catch a lot of flack from younger generations but the musical volume and creativity that generation put out is unmatched. As a Gen Xer I will be forever grateful to them for the incredible music that my generation got to enjoy growing up in their wake.

I get what you’re saying, the same could be said for REM, Depeche Mode, The Smiths, and so many more. But these bands are Generation X bands through and through. I can’t imagine my parents listening to The Cure.

When I met my brothers father in law for the first time he was wearing a cure shirt. I immediately said gen x huh? And he said, yeap.
My dad is a boomer, he doesn't know what the cure is. He listened to the beatles, fleetwood mac, led zepplin, the eagles.

I'm not even sure how you're trying to define this.
