I was at a pool party in the summer of 1972 when something happened when I was looking at this girl in a bathing suit while this song was on the stereo. It was really hard to comprehend at the time....but I saw the female form different from that moment on.

The song was Ode to Billy Joe, but this is how I remember Bobby Gentry when I was a kid.

One of the first rock songs I remember hearing on an AM radio station when I was about 5 or 6.

Paul McCartney - Uncle Albert.
One of the few of his songs he never performed in concert.

The song that brings you back to your childhood
This one right here is the one that takes me back to when I was a kid. Every time I hear it, I remember me and my friends in our "fort" that we built, listening to the radio and singing this at the top of our lungs.

"I Want To Hold Your Hand"
Probably the most important modern day song in the history of music.

GREAT songs in this thread! Herman’s Hermits and the Beatles were staples in my home, but nothing brings me back like the IN THE WIND album by Peter Paul and Mary, particularly Don’t Think Twice It’s Alright.

Great thread for a Sunday morning, y’all!
Most-listened song in my childhood was this single, when not listening to PP&M…the ultimate stalking song
